Matt Rogers has found himself in the headlines once again, but this time it is not due to his new podcast episode or Bravo appearance. Instead, the comedian has now cleared the air about the alleged tension between him and renowned late-night host, Andy Cohen. For those unaware, the rumour stemmed after Matt's appearance on Watch What Happens Live in December 2025 and since then it has snowballed into a big issue. Here's what he has to say about it.
The rumours about a possible conflict between Matt Rogers and Andy Cohen surfaced after the former made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live in December 2025. During the show, viewers felt that there was an awkward energy between him and the show's host, Andy Cohen, and Matt. Some netizens even went ahead to speculate about the past behind-the-scenes fallout or relationship between the two. But Matt has now shut down those theories. On the latest episode of Las Culturistas, which he co-hosts with Bowen Yang, Matt confronted the buzz and said:
"There is no drama or tension between Andy Cohen and me."

Furthermore, Matt added that their flirtatious interaction was simply part of the show's humor. He even denied ever having a romantic relationship with Andy and explained that their equation is based on friendship and conflict rather than any romantic conflict. He added that Andy is now technically his boss due to their professional bond linked to a book deal via Andy Cohen Books. At the same time, the 39-year-old mentioned that the perceived pressure or seriousness during their exchange was due to the fact that he and his co-host still had a book deadline to meet with Andy. Subsequently, they were simply having a good time.

The speculation surrounding Andy Cohen and Matt Rogers's conflict began when viewers noticed Matt's body language and tone during the show's after-show segment. Andy jokingly pressed him about his work commitments, and the exchange felt unusual, given Matt's typically high-energy appearances. Also, the internet's fascination with the celebrity equation quickly gave rise to rumours. The Podcaster highlighted how fans often misread such interactions and were more about audience assumptions rather than his actual bond with Andy.

Matt Rogers is a frequent guest on Bravo. He is a comedian, actor, writer, and cultural commentator known for his podcast, Las Culturistas, where he discusses pop culture and the award season. Since the show's inception in 2016, Matt has built a devoted following with his sharp humor and extensive knowledge of entertainment. At the same time, he has appeared in projects such as Fire Island and I Love That for You.
