Trishala Dutt's Cryptic Note On 'Parent Caring More About Family Image' Is A Dig At Sanjay Dutt?

Trishala Dutt is the daughter of Bollywood's famous star, Sanjay Dutt and his first wife, Richa Sharma. There was a time when Trishala and Sanjay Dutt's relationship was at its odd, and a lot of things were said, but their relationship soon saw the happiest phase. Now, Trishala shares a beautiful bond with Sanjay Dutt and his third wife, Manayata Dutt. Recently, Trishala shared a cryptic note about 'family is not a free pass to mistreat', and it had led to further speculations.

Trishala Dutt penned a cryptic note on family affecting mental peace, and it seems like a dig at her father, Sanjay Dutt

On August 25, 2025, Trishala, who often shares notes on mental health and how to deal with tough situations, shared a cryptic note. It seems like a dig at one of her parent. In the note, she expressed that people who share the same blood shouldn't be allowed to occupy a place in your life if they are draining you. She added that a person is allowed to choose mental peace over low-contact or no contact. She wrote:

"Not everyone who shares your blood deserves a place in your life. Sometimes, the most draining, invalidating, and dismissive people we know carry the title ‘family.’ You’re allowed to protect your peace. You’re allowed to go low-contact or no contact. You’re allowed to choose your mental health over preserving the family image."

Trishala also shared that 'family' doesn't mean they have the right to mistreat, manipulate or guilt-trip you. She added that you do not owe any access to anyone who keeps hurting you. No matter even if they raised you. Trishala also stated that it becomes a problem when a parent cares more about how the family appears to the world than how it actually feels to live in. She concluded:

"Because ‘family’ is not a free pass to mistreat, manipulate, or guilt-trip you. You DO NOT owe continued access to anyone who keeps hurting you — even if they raised you. When a parent cares more about how the family appears to the world than how it actually feels to live in it, that’s a problem."

It is worth mentioning that Trishala Dutt didn't name anyone in her note, but people started speculating if she was talking about her father, Sanjay Dutt. However, it is worth mentioning that Trishala shares a warm bond with her father nowadays. She even wished him on his 66th birthday.
