Sanjay Dutt's Daughter Trishala Dutt Posts Throwback 'Priceless' Photograph With 'Dadaji' Sunil Dutt

When it comes to raising a child, grandparents play an invaluable role and it is their presence that teaches them what being ‘selfless’ actually is! Their unconditional love, life lessons, experiences and anecdotes play a crucial role in shaping one’s life and what grandchildren imbibe from them, helps in keeping the legacy of their grandparents alive. Only a few of us are lucky to grow up in the presence of their grandparents as some have to live with the void that they had left in our lives. But no matter how much time we have spent with them, it remains cherished forever in our lives and we love going through those memories, every now and then. Sanjay Dutt’s daughter, Trishala Dutt too, went on a nostalgic trip as she misses her ‘dadaji’, Sunil Dutt. (Also Read: Is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Pregnant Again? Late veteran actor, Sunil Dutt married Queen of Indian Cinema, Nargis after he fell in love with her when he first saw the pre-eminent star in Bimal Roy’s film, Do Bigha Zamin. Since he wasn’t a celebrity at that time, he had felt timid to disclose his feelings. The film, Mother India had played Cupid for them and post a fire accident on the sets of the movie, there was no looking back for their relationship. In 1958, Sunil and Nargis had embarked on their marital journey and were blessed with three children, Namrata Dutt, Priya Dutt, and Sanjay Dutt. But in 1981 and 2005, Nargis and Sunil Dutt took their last breath, respectively.

Sanjay Dutt’s life has been a roller-coaster ride, professionally as well as on the personal front. Sanjay Dutt had fallen for two women, Richa Sharma and Rhea Pillai, but parted ways only to find love for the third time in Maanayata Dutt. Sanjay has three children, a daughter, Trishala Dutt from his first wife, Richa and twins, Shahraan Dutt and Iqra Dutt from his third wife, Maanayata. Looks like his eldest daughter, Trishala is in a nostalgic mode as she posted a ‘priceless’ picture with her ‘dadaji’, Sunil Dutt. Sharing the picture, Trishala wrote, “#priceless Dadaji” followed by a heart emoji.

In mid-2019, reports were rife that the gap between Sanjay Dutt and his eldest daughter, Trishala Dutt had gone beyond the geographical distance. A close friend of Sanjay had shared with Bollywood Hungama, "It seems Sanju has shut the door on Trishala. They don’t communicate at all. He has zero knowledge of what goes in her life. There is no connect, direct or indirect, between them." But amidst the reports of the rift between Sanjay and Trishala, a sweet gesture from his wife, Maanayata had proved that all is well between the father-daughter duo. On August 24, 2019, Trishala had posted a gorgeous picture of herself, flaunting her extremely gorgeous beach waves. Maanayata couldn’t resist herself from complimenting Trishala on her oh-so-gorgeous picture and had commented, “Beauty”.

In an interview with the Bombay Times a few months back, Maanayata Dutt had spoken about Sanjay Dutt’s bond with his late father, Sunil Dutt. Maanayata had said, “I remember that my sister-in-law, Priya, once told me that their father (Sunil Dutt) would often say, ‘Sanju ne itna drugs kiya hai ki uska dimaag grow hona bandh ho gaya hai’. Sanju always says that his dad loved Priya more, but I feel that his father had that unspoken love for him. Priya would tell me how dad would defend him and say these lines. So, I still feel that he is young, and I am dealing with three kids at home. Shahraan, Iqra (their twins) and Sanju gang up together. At home, the kids are supposed to have pizza and burgers only over the weekend, but he breaks that rule and allows it on weekdays, too. You see what I mean!” (Also Read: Ajay Devgn Trolls Kapil Sharma For Making Money On The Name Of His Newborn Daughter, Anayra Sharma)

Agreeing with his wife, Maanayata Dutt, Sanjay Dutt had continued, “Yes, absolutely. It is much later in life that he started expressing himself more. The hug that he gave me at the end in Munna Bhai M.B.B.S (2003), was so real that both of us were crying. Towards the last phase of his life, my dad started expressing his love for me, and he was proud of the way I handled myself. For any father, it is a good feeling to see things turn around — from people saying that ‘Sanju Sunil Dutt ji ka beta hain’, to they saying ‘Sunil Dutt ji Sanjay Dutt ke pitaji hain'."

On May 6, 2019, Sanjay Dutt had taken a trip down the memory lane and had posted a monochrome picture to mark his father, Sunil Dutt’s 90th birth anniversary. Sanjay had captioned it, "Happy Birthday Dad. I miss you!" In a 2018 interview with the IANS, Sanjay had credited his father for everything that he is today and was quoted as saying, "Whatever I am today is because of my father. He is my inspiration and I miss him every day. I did not always share an easy relationship with him. But he always stood by me. I wish he was here to see me as a free man and the beautiful family that I have today. He would have been proud."

How it was to grow up in a star family? Sanjay Dutt had retorted, "My father raised us as normal children. I was sent to a boarding school. I went through the grind. And I am the same way with my children. I try to teach them the values of life, give them sanskaar, and teach them (that) respect for elders is very important even if they are your servants… And that you’ve got to value life. I only pray my son is not like me. Because what my dad went through, I don’t want to go through that." Speaking about his mother, Nargis, Sanjay had added, "All mothers are the same – they can’t see anything wrong in their son… Whatever happens. If someone complained that ‘Sanju has done this’, she couldn’t believe it. She used to get angry with them only." (Also Read: Javed Akhtar Gives An Update On Wife, Shabana Azmi's Health, Assures That 'No Serious Harm Is Done')
