Travis Kelce's High-School Coach, Jeff Rotsky, Reveals His First Meet With Taylor Swift, 'Kindest..'

The couple, who got engaged in August 2024, are still grabbing a lot of attention for their public romance including stadium appearances and sweet gestures. Amid that, Travis Kelce's coach, Jeff Rotsky opened up about meeting Taylor Swift.

Jeff Rotsky recalls the first few words of Taylor Swift

Recently, during an interview with Zoom, Jeff Rotsky opened up about meeting Taylor Swift for the first time. For those who don't know, Jeff Rotsky coached Travis Kelce during his high school years in Ohio at Cleveland Heights High School. He revealed that he stays in touch with Travis and 750 of his former students. While talking about Travis Kelce's fiancée, Jeff shared:

"She is the kindest young lady you’ve ever met and down to earth. She treated us like gold."

In the same interview with Zoom, Jeff continued to mention the first few words of the Love Story singer. He revealed that when he met Taylor Swift, she asked him to tell her the childhood stories of Travis Kelce. Jeff also shared that he will be blessed if he receives the wedding invite of the couple.

During a candid chat with Zoom, Travis Kelce’s high-school coach, Jeff Rotsky also appreciated the game of the NFL player and how he has grown up as a person. Jeff stated that Travis has grown to be a leader, with a kind heart. He also mentioned that seeing Travis like this makes him proud as a coach and a father. He was quoted as saying:

"Travis has grown up to be a leader, to have a kind heart, to have fun. As a coach or father, what more can you ask from your son or player?"

On August 26, 2025, global pop icon, Taylor Swift and NFL superstar, Travis Kelce announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post. Their caption was, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married." The announcement quickly became one of the most talked-about moments and he reached over 1 million likes within ten minutes. During a podcast, Travis Kelce had shared that even though, he knew Taylor's reply, he was very nervous and even got emotional while proposing to her.
