Tom Holland recently sparked concern among fans after news broke that the actor had been injured while filming his upcoming Marvel film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. According to Daily Mail, the 29-year-old actor sustained a mild concussion following a fall during stunt work on set. The incident led to his brief hospitalisation, and his fans were worried about both his health and the progress of the highly anticipated superhero film. However, they can finally have a sigh of relief as the actor made his first appearance after his accident.
Just days after his accident on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Tom Holland made his surprising first appearance. The actor was spotted arriving with his fiancee and Spider-Man co-star, Zendaya, at a charity event. The couple attended Christie's auction house over the weekend, where the duo hosted The Brothers Trust's Posh Pub Quiz. The foundation, run by Tom Holland and his family, focused on raising money for various UK charities. But despite the accident, Tom appeared in good spirits, smiling for pictures as he met and chatted with guests.
Tom surprised the audience by taking on the stage as a Quizmaster. Zendaya, 29, also stood by his side throughout the evening. She offered him support both personally and professionally. The couple's outing was one of their rare public appearance together, as the couple is known to keep their relationship away from the media spotlight.
Tom Holland's accident took place at Leavesden Studios in Watford. He was shooting there for some demanding stunt sequences for his new Spider-Man film. According to sources, the accident caused him to hit his head. It resulted in a concussion. Soon, an ambulance was called to the film's studio, and Tom was transported to the hospital for observation. His father, Dominic Holland, later confirmed at another event that his son would take some time off from work to focus on his recovery. Some outlets confirmed that the production work on Spider-Man: Brand New Day has reportedly been paused temporarily to accommodate his break.
Although Tom Holland's accident may have slowed his work front, the actor is keeping busy on his work front. Apart from reprising his role as 'Peter Parker', he is also working on Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. In the film, he will star opposite Zendaya once again. Meanwhile, Zendaya herself has an exciting lineup. She may soon begin filming for Dune 3.
