For almost two decades, Dancing With the Stars has been more than just a reality show. It has been a weekly tradition for millions of viewers who tuned in to watch celebrities shine on the dance floor. Besides this, the heart of the reality show is Tom Bergeron, who has guided multiple contestants over the years. Years ago, he broke a lot of hearts when he left the show but now, he is finally here to heal those hearts, as Tom is returning as a judge on Dancing With the Stars.
Recently, the OG judge of Dancing With the Stars had a candid conversation with TV Insider, during which he opened up about his much-awaited comeback on the reality show. During the interview, when he was asked about his feelings regarding his return to DWTS after stars, Tom was quoted as saying:
"Well, I have to give all credit to Conrad Green, who was my first showrunner back when we premiered in 2005. And I’m happy to say he’s back in that role currently, and boy has he righted that ship. I mean, wow. The numbers, I texted [executive producer] Deena Katz and I said, I’m particularly enjoying watching the show beat The Voice."

During the same interview, Tom Bergeron continued to mention a lot about the reality show, DWTS. When he was asked whether he follows the show or not, Tom had shared that while he sees a few episodes here-and-there, he is planning to go unprepared and is curious to see what the judges have in store for him. Then, Tom continued to explain his feelings of watching his friend, Alfonso do his job as a judge. Regarding the same, Tom shared:
"I’ll tell you, it’s so much fun to watch my friends do the work. I don’t have to throw to commercials. I don’t have to worry about the timing. I’ll be respectful and sensitive of what Alfonso has to deal with, ’cause I’ve been there. But I’m just looking forward to being in an environment surrounded by people I really care about on live television, where there’s no second take. It’s my happy place."

Tom Bergeron is all set to appear as a guest judge for the 20th anniversary episode of Dancing With the Stars, which will premiere on November 11, 2025. Viewers can watch the reality show on ABC at 8:00 p.m. ET. Apart from this, the show is all available for streaming on Hulu.
