Gurucharan Singh, known for playing the role of 'Roshan Singh Sodhi ' in popular sitcom Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah went missing on April 22, 2024. His movements were not updated, and thus, his family filed a police complaint. As fans made guesses about his absence, the missing actor returned home on May 17, 2024. His first picture after his return is going viral now.
A report by India Today cited the details shared by the Delhi Police handling the case. They recorded Gurucharan Singh's statement immediately, in which he shared that he had gone on a religious journey. He further revealed that he had left his worldly life and went to many cities like Amritsar and Ludhiana on the journey, stopping at the Gurudwaras. However, Gurucharan Singh later felt that he should go home and thus, he returned.

The news of Gurucharan Singh's absence made headlines when he went missing after not taking his scheduled flight from Delhi to Mumbai. As a result, his father, Hargit Singh, lodged a missing complaint, and police officers started the search operations. Their investigation found that Gurucharan Singh was a follower of a sect that practices meditation. So, he had shown interest in going to the Himalayas for meditation.
After the news of Gurucharan Singh's return went viral, ANI shared a new post on X (formerly Twitter) where Gurucharan Singh can be seen posing with a Delhi Police cop. The actor looked tired as he wore a striped turban with a black T-shirt. Reacting to ANI's post, many fans mentioned how the actor looks aged.
