Govinda's daughter, Tina Ahuja made her debut in the acting world with the movie, Second Hand Husband. While Tina's acting skills had left the movie lovers in awe, she was later seen in limited music videos. Well, earlier, in an interview, Tina hinted at leaving the glamour world, but later, her mom confirmed that she won't do the same and will grab the right opportunity if she's offered. Earlier, Tina has shared how her father, Govinda has always been concerned about her being fit. Well, she once again talked about the same and revealed being on a crash diet.

Tina Ahuja recalls being on a crash diet and surviving on black coffee

Tina Ahuja recently sat for an interview with Curly Tales, wherein she revealed that there had been a time when she went from aloo parantha to black coffee. Tina mentioned that she used to intake only 600-700 calories a day. Tina shared that she would never recommend this to anyone. Recalling those days, Tina revealed how she went into dhoti pants, and was on a crash diet to look fit. Comparing herself from then to now, Tina shared that she now eats whatever she likes and gets proper sleep. In Tina Ahuja's words:

"I remember going from aloo ka parantha diet to only having 600-700 calories in a day, which I don’t recommend to anyone. I only used to have black coffee, wear dhoti pants, it was a boho phase of my life with those red lips. But now, I have come to a point where I want to eat very good food – I eat berries, have smoothies, workout, green juices, nuts, and I sleep very well now."

Going forward in the interview, Tina Ahuja shared that this has always been the way that her father, Govinda would ask her to be fit. Tina recalled Govinda saying that fat and unhealthy people don't look good, and one should be fit to look good. She also mentioned that she didn't have any issues in general, it's just that she has put on some weight after her accident and thus, she couldn't work out for a year or so. Tina can be quoted as saying:

"This has been going on since my teens. He was always like, 'Tum fit raha karo, ache lagne chahiye, mote unhealthy acha nahi lagta.' I never had any problem or anything. After my accident in Jaipur, I gained weight. I couldn’t workout for a year after that. I used to think I was fit."

Tina Ahuja reflects on her fat-to-fit journey

In the same interview, Tina Ahuja revealed that after she came back home from London, still then, she didn't realise that she had gained weight. The actress shared that she couldn't even get that she had gone from UK4 to UK12, and later, she started her journey to be fit, as back then, she was not working out, but she was eating a lot. She further stated that she has learned so much about fitness that she can now even write a book on how to be fit.

Tina Ahuja shared how her father was barely present during her childhood

Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Tina Ahuja shared that during her childhood, her father, Govinda was mostly absent, and hardly even paid a visit to her at her school. Tina remarked that now that she gets to work with her dad, it's only good for her as she gets to know him better. She also talked about being busy around her dad, and how people also started giving her importance for working with the actor.
