Who was Timothy 'Tim' Very?

Timothy 'Tim' Very grew up in Pensacola, Fla., and as it seems, he was always destined to be a drummer. As a teenager, he started playing the drums when one of his neighbours pointed out his father's drums and asked why he wasn't trying the same. Timothy's father was also a drummer, and the day he tried playing the drums, his dad instantly set them up. Timothy, in an interview, said that unlike every other one in his band, he didn't go for formal training, being just 6-7, rather it took him some time to find his identity. He started off with learning Nirvana songs, as he believed they had heavy drum parts, and thus, a great start.

Timothy started working with the MO, officially, after Jeremiah Edmond left the band, when the band was on their third full-length album, Simple Math. Timothy had been with the band till his death. Initially, when he took part in the tour just after joining, he expressed that the feeling was unexplainable, and he just threw up from excitement. Well, over the years, he showed his skills, and later on, he described himself as 'songwriter's drummer'. Talking about the dreams he saw and how things happened, Timothy, most recently, in a podcast, said:

"If you actually believe in yourself and are willing to just bite down on the dream and go like, man, I’m gonna hang in here. Whatever it is, whatever you’re doing out there — it doesn’t have to just be music — this can go across the board for anything. You can make it happen. It just won’t happen the way you thought it would."

We wish Timothy's family strength to deal with this tough time!
