Tillotama Shome is one of the pooular actresses of her time. She is known for taking up unconventional roles and acing them on-screen. On the work front, Tillotama was last seen in the role of 'Bindi Jain' in the series, Tribhuvan Mishra: CA Topper, alongside Manav Kaul in the lead. She was also seen in the season 3 of the popular web series, Kota Factory starring Jitendra Kumar in the lead role. However, she has also faced horrifying incidents in her life, one of which she recently revealed in an interview.
In an interview with Hauterrfly, Tillotama Shome talked about a horrifying experience of sexual harassment when she was in Delhi. In a video shared by the official Instagram handle of the channel, the actress recalled the incident, which had a lasting impact on her. She revealed that the incident took place when she was waiting for a bus in Delhi during winter months, and a car then stopped near her. Elaborating how then a group of men began harassing her, she said:

"Then they started catcalling. Somebody threw a small stone. I moved away a little bit more. I was like, I have to go from here. Now either I run, but they can outrun me. So, I decided to stand in the middle of the road and take a lift. We just moved a little bit.”

She revealed that it was some calling from within herself that made her step back a bit. She then thought of getting a lift from a passerby and asked for help. Finally, a car stopped for her after a number of them passed by without stopping for her, but what happened next was no less than horrifying.
Soon after she boarded the car, Tilottoma saw the man unzipped his pants as they moved towards a distance. Not only that, the stranger even forced Tillotama by grabbing her hands. At that moment, she hit him and did something that the stranger had to stop the car. She was then asked to get out. Remembering the terrifying experience, she stated:
"I thought it might be safer since he was a doctor. I got in the car and sat in the front seat and he unzipped his pants. We just moved a little bit, he took my hand and he unzipped his pants and I guess he wanted me to do whatever. The moment he forced my hand, it was like an instinct hit, like hitting out. I don't know what I did, but he had to stop his car because something happened. He swerved, whatever. And he asked me to get out. It was a terrifying experience, and I was shaken. But my instinct to fight back helped me get out of a dangerous situation.”

Coming to her personal life, Tillotama is married to Jaya Bachchan's nephew, Kunal Ross. It was in 2015 when Tillotama tied the knot with Kunal in bengali wedding in Goa. The entire Bachchan family made an appearance. For the unknown, Tillotama is the daughter-in-law of Jaya Bachchan's sister, Nita Bhaduri. For the wedding, the bride wore a red Benarasi saree with a golden border and looked stunning.
