Tiku Talsania In Critical Condition After Brain Stroke, Wife, Deepti Confirms It Wasn't Heart Attack

Veteran actor, Tiku Talsania was rushed to the hospital on January 10, 2025, when he suffered a brain stroke. His family informed the media about the same on January 11th. However, incorrect reports about the actor having suffered a heart attack soon started circulating. Now, Tiku's wife, Deepti Talsania, has come forward to offer a clarification about the same, confirming that Tiku had suffered a brain stroke and not a heart attack.

Tiku Talsania was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital after he suffered a brain stroke on January 10, 2025. After reports about him having suffered a heart attack started circulating, his wife, Deepti Talsania clarified that they were false. Talking about what happened to the 70-year-old actor, who is reportedly in a critical condition at the moment, Deepti told NDTV:

"He suffered a brain stroke, not a heart attack. He had gone to attend a film screening and started feeling unwell around 8 pm. He was immediately admitted to the hospital."

When Tiku Talsania revealed that he was 'slightly jobless' and actively looking for work

Tiku Talsania has worked in over 200 films over his lengthy career in Bollywood. Some of the biggest hits in which he appeared include Andaz Apna Apna, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, Devdas, Coolie No. 1, Dhamaal, Partner, Phir Hera Pheri, Hungama, Raju Chacha, Hero No. 1, among others. Most recently, he was seen in Rajkummar Rao and Tripti Dimrii-starrer, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.

However, in October 2024, Tiku revealed that he was 'slightly jobless' as times had changed and the right roles weren't coming his way. In an interview with the Indian Express, he said:

"Unless and until you become a part of the story, or you get to play a character of a person whose story is knitted with the story, you don't get work. I am slightly jobless right now. I want to work, but the right kind of roles are not coming my way." 

Tiku further stated that he was going on auditions whenever required but had learnt to be patient too. Talking about how the industry had changed and his opinion on the same, Tiku said:

"If I am required to go for an audition, I go. Things have changed over a period of time, but one needs to be patient. Since Covid-19, working principle has been disrupted. Now people are becoming more sharper and progressive. It's become beautiful and I like the way we have to approach work now. I am waiting for people to call me. Also, I am sending out feelers that I am an actor looking for work."

Rashami Desai shares an update on Tiku Talsani's condition

Tiku Talsani and Rashami Desai had reportedly attended the same premiere before the actor's health took a turn for the worse. The actress told Money Control that Tiku had been just fine at the show, with no signs of anything being wrong. Rashami further revealed that while she had been busy meeting others at the premiere, she was quickly able to rush to the hospital and check on Tiku. Offering an update on his condition, Rashami stated that Tiku reached the hospital on time and things were better now. Rashami added that they were all praying for his speedy recovery.
