The Kapil Sharma Show is undoubtedly one of the most-loved shows on the Indian Television. Being aired at the prime time of 9:30 PM every evening, the show brings together a massive audience to laugh and rejoice at the perfect comic timing. Starring Kapil Sharma, Kiku Sharda, Sudesh Lehri, Ali Asgar, Sumona Chakravarti among others, the show features some of the A-listers of the comedy world showcasing their exceptional talents to entertain the audience. However, while the show has gone off air since the month of July, it still carries a fandom of its own and audiences often reminisce the old episodes of the bone-tickling show.
Taking to the social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), a fan of The Kapil Sharma Show dropped a post with an advertisement featuring the sale of tickets for the live viewing of the show in the sets itself. The poster featured the original logo of the show’s streaming platform, Sony TV and a picture of Kapil Sharma himself. However, what caught everyone’s attention was the whopping price of tickets that was mentioned in the advertisement. It claimed that the ticket per person for the show was Rs. 4999, along with free food and drink.

As the social media user tagged Kapil Sharma in the post which he shared, the comedian was quick to take note of it and clarified the truth behind the same. Replying to everyone, Kapil Sharma clarified that such an advertisement was fake and in reality, the makers of The Kapil Sharma Show do not charge a penny from anyone who wishes to join in as the live audience during the shooting of the show. Kapil wrote:
“Sir it’s a fraud. We never charge our audiences a single penny to see the live shoot, pls beware of these kind of fraud people. Thank you.”
There’s no denying the fact that Kapil Sharma has only been able to reach such soaring heights in his career because of his sheer hard work and dedication towards the art of comedy. Nearly everyone will agree that the job of a comedian is perhaps quite tricky, as it is not easy to make anyone laugh. Coming from a completely humble background, Kapil has really made his way to reach the top of the ladder. Speaking along the same lines, in one of the episodes of his show, Kapil had revealed that he had received his first salary as meagre as Rs. 500. He added that he used it to buy a cassette player for himself, along with some other things for his mom.

In one of his previous interviews with Aaj Tak, Kapil Sharma opened up about his personal life and achievements so far. When he was asked by the host about his net worth of Rs. 300 crores, Kapil simply laughed it off. He mentioned that he does own a house, and a car, and most importantly has a beautiful family. Sharing how he has lost tons of money and still considers himself a middle-classed salaried man, Kapil said:
“I have also lost a lot of money… But, truthfully, I don’t think about all this. I know that I have a house, and a car, I have a family, and that’s all that matters. Of course, I’m no saint. I won’t turn down good money. But even today, meri soch salary wali hai. My wife likes spending on things, but I don’t. But she comes from money, so it’s different.”
