They say all’s fair in love and war. But generally, what “they” say, comes with a few exceptions and riders. How far would you go to keep someone you loved together with you? I am willing to wager that most readers would do whatever it takes to keep their significant others with them – everything short of murder, that is!
But if you would do anything to be with the one you love, must the converse necessarily be true? That is, would you do anything to get away from someone you don’t like?

Now, I am not suggesting that you stay in a relationship with someone who is overly possessive, territorial, unfaithful or emotionally abusive. If you do find yourself with someone like that, then run as fast as possible in the opposite direction.
But what if you are introduced to a guy who seems sweet at first? Once you get to know him better, you realize that he is boring or idiotic or silly. There is nothing fundamentally wrong with him, but he is just not right for you.
A little while ago, I wrote an article on how you can politely dump someone and still remain friends with them. But this article will be about how NOT to dump someone… unless you want to make an enemy for life, that is.

There are plenty of learned books and articles on how the advent of mobiles is changing daily life in India. But your love life is one area where the personal touch is always better. Unless your ex has cheated on you or you want to get revenge for some past transgression, don’t even thing about dumping someone via Facebook. Firstly, it is just not a nice thing to do, for the reasons mentioned above. Secondly, it could have some serious repercussions for you as well. What do you think people will think about you if they see you dumping someone like this?
On Valentine’s Day
There are 365 days in a year, and you pick the one day dedicated to celebrating love to dump someone? That is just brutal! If you just can’t stay a minute longer in a relationship, then dump your significant other on the week before Valentine’s day.
Same rule applies to birthdays. Dump them after their birthday, if possible, so that they can at least enjoy 1 birthday as half of a couple.
Those are all the killer break up no nos that I could think of. How about you? Have you had your heart broken by someone ruthless in the past? Sharing makes the pain easier, you know.
