A lot of films and shows like War 2, Tehran and more are waiting to be released during the Independence week. Amid those, Prime Video dropped the trailer of its upcoming supernatural horror-thriller show, Andhera. The series stars popular and talented actors like Surveen Chawla, Prajakta Koli and more. By dropping just the trailer, the makers have already caught the attention of a lot of viewers.

The much awaited trailer of Andhera was released on August 8, 2025, by Prime Video, which gave the first glimpse into this upcoming horror-thriller series. The two-minute trailer was enough to set the intense tone of the show and make the audience curious to watch it. The series is all set to be released on August 14, 2025, on Prime Video.

The series is about an inspector and a medical student, who start the investigation of a young woman's mysterious disappearance in Mumbai. It begins as a search for the truth, but in no time turns into something more horrific and dangerous. The trailer shows eerie visions and disturbing clues. The narrative of the show, Andhera, blurs the lines between reality and nightmare.

The cast and crew of the horror-thriller series, Andhera

Andhera brings together a strong and talented cast. The show is directed by Raaghav Dar and produced by Excel Media and Entertainment LLP. The cast of the supernatural horror-thriller series is led by Priya Bapat (who plays the role of Inspector 'Kalpana Kadam') and Karanvir Malhotra (who plays the role of a medical student, 'Jay'). The series also stars Surveen Chawla and Prajakta Koli, who are all set to bring their own magic to the series.

Since the trailer has dropped, fans can't keep their calm. Most fans on YouTube praised Surveen Chawla as they believe that she is finally getting the love she deserves. Prajakta Koli talks about her show, Andhera

Recently, actor and influencer, Prajakta Koli sat down for a candid conversation with News18, in which she spoke about the show. She mentioned that she was instantly interested in the story of the show and wanted to be a part of it. In her words:

"I was instantly intrigued by the world of Andhera. It’s a psychological horror story, but at its core, it’s about the survival of the mind, of truth, and of identity."

Prajakta also shared details about her role in the series and explained that her character is impulsive and bold. She also described the entire experience of working on this show as 'unforgettable'. She said:

"My character is impulsive, bold, and often skeptical, yet she’s also deeply affected by what she can’t explain.
