The Family Man Season 3 X Review, Manoj Bajpayee Steals The Show, Jaideep Ahlawat In His Brutal Best

After a long wait of four years, the much-loved thriller, The Family Man, is back with season 2. The spy action thriller by Raj and DK is now available on Amazon Prime, and early reviews suggest it did justice to the long wait. The show has become one of the most loved series since season 1 in 2019. As the news season is out, here is what people are saying about it.

The Family Man season 3 plot

Manoj Bajpayee is back as ‘Srikant Tiwari’ in season 3 and is on a run. He is on a run in the Northeast to uncover a mission that could harm the nation. ‘PM Basu’, portrayed by Seema Biswas, launches Project Sahakar to strengthen India’s ties with the North-Eastern states. However, her efforts are sabotaged by a string of bomb blasts across Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Nagaland. 

'Srikant' and his mentor, ‘Kulkarni’ played by Dalip Tahil initiates peace talk among trial groups of Northeast, but they reject reconciliation. The show then introduces ‘Rukma’, the antagonist, played by none other than Jaideep Ahlawat. His character’s brutality is shown in a way that stays with the audience.

Soon, a conspiracy coils around 'Srikant' and his family, making him look like a traitor. Soon, he realises that a mole is in TASC and that national security is at risk. The plot is written in a way that shifts easily from light-hearted comedy to intense, high-octane action. There are many cameos in the series, including glimpses of Vijay Sethupathi and Dulquer Salmaan.

The Family Man’s release is more of a nostalgia for the show’s honest fans who have been waiting patiently for four years. And the wait seems worth it, as the audience is enthralled by the plot, surprise elements, the addition of new characters, and more. Talking to X, a user penned:

Manoj Bajpayee reprised his role as ‘Srikant Tiwari’ and is still in his element, bringing in his power-packed performance. Priyamani, who plays Manoj Bajpayee’s wife, ‘Suchi’, has a limited screen presence. Sharib Hashmi as ‘JK Talpade’ is still one of the favourites and gets more screentime in the latest season. Apart from the show’s veterans, the new season introduces Jaideep Ahlawat as ‘Rukma’, and his layered character confuses the audience to empathise with him or hate him for his brutality. Nimrat Kaur is another addition to the show, serving as the surprise element. The rest of the cast, including Aditya Srivastava, Vipin Sharma, Seema Biswas, Dalip Tahil, and Gul Panag, have played their parts exceptionally well.
