Jaideep Ahlawat’s stellar performance in the hit series, The Family Man Season 3, has become the talk of the town. For the unversed, Jaideep played a vicious character, 'Rukma' in the series, The Family Man Season 3. Recently, the actor not only won hearts with his acting skills, but he also grabbed the spotlight with his spontaneous dance moves.
Behind the glitz and glamour, Jaideep struggled hard to establish his foothold in the industry. While he tried hard to get a work, it was his wife, Jyoti Hooda, who became his pillar of strength during his struggling phase. Earlier, this year, in 2025, in an interview, The Family Man 3 star opened up about his wife’s contribution to his life. So, without wasting any more time, let’s dive in to know more about the couple.

In an interview with Lallantop, Jaideep Ahlawat revealed that his wife, Jyoti Hooda, used to run the house, when he had no work. He mentioned that she worked in the popular serial, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, starring Sakshi Tanwar and Ram Kapoor for four months in 2024, as he had no projects to work on. He then added that Jyoti left the show, when he got a work and decided to be a 'homemaker'. He was quoted as saying:
"She only did one show, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, starring Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar, because I was not working at that time. She worked in only one show for 4 months just for money to run the house. After I got work, she left the show and decided to be a homemaker."

In the same interview, Jaideep Ahlawat opened up about his love story with his wife, Jyoti. The Family Man 3 actor shared that they met when he was doing a PG during his theatre days. The actor mentioned that when he joined a course on Mass Communication, he was a junior of Jyoti and his friend, Alkesh. Then he shifted to FTII after three months in 2005. Later, Jyoti too joined FTII and became his junior. Jaideep added that initially he was attracted to Jyoti, but eventually he fell in love with her. He was quoted as saying:
"I met Jyoti when I was doing a PG during my theatre days. Jyoti and my friend Alkesh were batchmates in MSc Mass Comm. I met her there. I finished my MA in English literature. Then, I joined FTII. I wanted to first gain some training before joining FTII. Hence, I joined Mass Comm. I was a junior of Alkesh and Jyoti. At FTII, Jyoti was my junior. We had a lot of common topics to speak with each other about. She didn't pursue her career in acting."

In a past interview with TOI, Jaideep Ahlwat opened up about the partners of the actors, who rarely come into the limelight but have been the biggest support system to their partners. He highlighted that no one knows an actor better than their spouse when they are disturbed or worried. Jaideep then added that, as a husband, he didn’t think that he had let down his wife. He was quoted as saying:

"No one knows better than a spouse when an actor is disturbed, worried because of prep, or any other thing that happened on the set. It takes a lot to live with that. I don't think I have ever let Jyoti down as a husband; I've always tried to give it my all."
