Tanya Mittal Breaks Silence On Kissing Amaal Mallik's Photo In 'BB19', '...Main Toh Pyaar Karti Hu'

Reality show, Bigg Boss 19, hosted by Salman Khan is over, but the drama has still not ended. While some fans on social media are still debating on the winner of the show, others are noticing friendships and fallouts between contestants. Amid that, all the attention has shifted towards finalist, Tanya Mittal, who recently addressed the controversy around her kissing Amaal Mallik's photo during a Bigg Boss 19 task.

Was Tanya Mittal in love with Amaal Mallik?

Recently, spiritual influencer and Bigg Boss 19 finalist, Tanya Mittal sat down for an interview with News18, during which she opened up about her emotional stability inside the Bigg Boss 19 house and addressed the controversy of kissing Amaal Mallik’s photo. Talking about her stability and the desire to have a companion, Tanya shared:

"Mere saath aisa hai ki mujhe family, bachhe sab chahiye. Main akele thak gayi hu… Mummy papa se main bol nahi pati jyada… Kabhi mene apne mom dad ko nahi bola ki isne mere sath bura kiya hai isse darti."

Tanya Mittal continued by addressing the controversy stirred by Malti Chahar. For the unversed, the actress had started the rumours inside the Bigg Boss 19 house, that Tanya had kissed Amaal Mallik’s photo during a task. During the same interview with News18, the influencer shut down all the rumours and dismissed the whispers around her feelings for the musician. She was quoted as saying:

"Maine kiss kiya hota na aur agar mujhe pyaar hota, toh main duniya se kabhi nahi dari na… Amaal se pyaar karti hoti toh main bolne main bhi nahi darti, main toh on screen kiss karke aa jati ki yaar main toh pyaar karti hu."

Malti Chahar’s allegations against Tanya Mittal

The 'kiss' controversy happened during a captaincy task in Bigg Boss 19. When wildcard, Malti Chahar told the other housemates that she saw Tanya kissing a photograph of Amaal Mallik. The clip soon went viral, and the contestants of the show seemed shocked by the revelation. However, Tanya continued to deny such allegations. It is worth mentioning that after this stint, Tanya and Amaal had a friendship fallout. After this matter, some contestants also assumed that Tanya had fallen in love with the musician. 

Winner of Bigg Boss 19

Bigg Boss 19 had its grand finale episode on December 7, 2025, in which Gaurav Khanna lifted the trophy, after defeating strong contestants like Farrhana Bhatt, Pranit More, Tanya Mittal and Amaal Mallik. Along with the trophy, Gaurav Khanna took home Rs. 50 lakhs. However, his win sparked several debates on social media as a few users felt that he wasn’t deserving.
