In 1991, he had made his debut with Phool Aur Kaante, and in his career of three decades, he had created a niche for himself in the industry by acing comic, action-oriented, emotional and dramatic roles. Be it Aata Maajhi Satakli (Singham), Dua Mein Yaad Rakhna (Once Upon a Time in Mumbai) or Mujhe Jhooth Bardasht Nahi (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam), Ajay Devgn had given some commendable movies and dialogues that we can’t get enough of. Ajay Devgn has been awarded numerous accolades, which includes two National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards. In 2016, he was honoured by the Government of India with the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian honour of the country. Apart from a successful Bollywood career, Ajay Devgn is a happy family man too. Married to his Hulchul co-star for more than two decades now, Ajay and Kajol are living their ‘happily ever after’ with two kids, Nysa Devgan and Yug Devgan.
On April 2, 2020, Ajay Devgn turned 51 and to make his day special, Tanisha Mukerji penned down a heartfelt birthday wish for her ‘superhero brother-in-law’. Sharing some unseen pictures with Ajay, Tanisha wrote, “Happy birthday Jay! Have a lovely quarantine birthday! To my fabulous prankster super big hearted super caring super responsible super dad super fun-loving super party rockstar (although many may not believe the party bit) #superhero brother in law! Have a phenomenal year! @ajaydevgn.”

Last year when Ajay Devgn had celebrated his 50th birthday, Tanisha Mukerji had posted a family picture from the mid-night cake-cutting celebrations, which had Tanuja, Kajol and Yug along with Ajay and Tanisha in one frame. Wishing her ‘best’ jiju, Tanisha had written, “Happy happy birthday our amazing Jay! Thank u for being such a family man and completing our family! you and my sister are just the best!!! Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the entire nation is on a standstill. The school and colleges have been shut down, the office-going ones are working from home and the entire world is on self-quarantine. In this scenario before the mandatory lockdown in India, Kajol had brought back her daughter, Nysa Devgan from Singapore, where she’s studying. A few days later, reports were rife that Kajol and Nysa were tested positive for coronavirus. Clarifying the rumours, Ajay had tweeted, “Thank you for asking. Kajol & Nysa are absolutely fine. The rumour around their health is unfounded, untrue & baseless.”
In a throwback interview with the Hindustan Times, Ajay Devgn had revealed how the superstar status never bothered him. He had stated, “I’ve never been bothered about the superstar status. The one thing that I learned from my father (Veeru Devgn, a renowned fight master in Bollywood) was to be honest with your work. I have been very lucky. There’s never been any situation where I had to struggle or wait for work. I have got more than enough work, which I even had to refuse sometimes.”
On November 11, 2019, when Ajay Devgn had completed 30 years in the industry, Kajol had penned down a proud note to wish her husband a ‘happy 100th film birthday’. Sharing a poster of Ajay from his film, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Kajol had written, "30 yrs & 100 films old. An occasion that definitely calls for a moment. From Phool Aur Kante to Zakhm to Golmaal to Shivaay and now finally Tanhaji! Through all the hard-won Fridays I’ve seen you go through. All characters lead back to you.
