Tamannaah Bhatia is winning hearts with her role in the Netflix film, Lust Stories 2. While some people are loving the way she has been portrayed in the film, there are some who trolled her brutally. The actress got puzzled by the hypocrisy of viewers and society. She shared that people judged her for her intimate scenes with Vijay Varma in Lust Stories 2, while male actors, who do worse, become 'superstars'.
Recently, in an interview with Barkha Dutt, Tamannaa spoke her heart out on the hypocrisy of people. She shared that people are strange as they troll a female actor for doing intimate scenes. They will pass on hate comments and give personal remarks, but when a male actor does the same or worse, he is called a superstar. She was quoted as saying:
"The misogyny is so stark in my face. I was hoping by 2023 that would not be the case, but this time around it felt really stark, primarily because when I started being an actor and I was really young, I was still dancing and looking glamorous. So it’s not that I have had a non-glamourous image and now all of a sudden it is turned into something. I just found it strange that even in 2023, why does a female actor need to have this definition… Like if she doing intimate scenes, it is a personal attack."

Tamannaah has an acting career of nearly two decades, and this was the only reason that she decided to try something new. The actress shared that she is aware of all kinds of comments that are coming her way. She revealed:
"I have read stuff like, ‘Isko kya majboori hai ki ye aise scenes kar rahi hai (What was her helplessness to do intimate scenes like these)’. I found that strange because if tomorrow I play a serial killer, will that make me a bad person?”
