Tamannaah Bhatia is one of the most loved actresses in the South Indian film industry. She is admired for her beauty, grace, impressive dancing, and versatile acting skills, which have also captured the attention of Bollywood fans in recent years. At the same time, Tamannaah is one of the few heroines who have never shied away from calling out anything she felt wasn't appropriate. Recently, fans got a glimpse of it again when Tamannaah reacted to her 'milky beauty' tag and gave a firm reply to a reporter who questioned her casting.
Tamannaah Bhatia recently graced the press event of her upcoming supernatural thriller, Odela 2, where she plays the role of a sadhvi (a saintly woman). During the event, she replied to several questions posed by the media personnel for her. However, one reporter stunned everyone when he asked the makers why they think that a 'milky beauty' was suitable to play the role. For those unaware, Tamannaah Bhatia is called 'milky beauty' by fans due to her fair and glowing skin. The Stree 2 actress decided to reply to the question about her and said:
"You are saying milky beauty, but why did you look at a milky beauty and thought that she can't be a Shiva Shakti? Your question has the answer in it."
She explained that makers had cast her as a saintly woman because they didn't feel that milky beauty was something bad. Tamannaah patiently mentioned that the film's director, Ashok, didn't feel that there was anything to be ashamed about the tag but rather looked at women like something divine. In her words:
"He does not look at milky beauty that is to be ashamed of or feel bad about. Glamour in a woman is to be celebrated, and we women must celebrate ourselves. Then we can expect other people to celebrate us. But if we look at ourselves in a certain way, then nobody can respect us. Here, we have a wonderful gentleman who does not look at women like that. He looks at women like divine. Divine can be glamorous, lethal, and powerful."
Tamannaah Bhatia's personal life has been in the headlines recently after the rumours of her split with Vijay Varma emerged. Reports suggested that the actress wanted to tie the knot while Vijay wanted to wait, which made them part ways. They haven't spoken about it, but the couple was spotted attending the same events separately and didn't pose together in any frame. Recently, Tamannaah, in a conversation with IANS, opened up about being a private person as a celebrity and said:
"I'm fairly private about my personal life. I share how much I feel comfortable sharing. So it works out. There are no complaints about that."
Tamannaah Bhatia was last seen in Sikandar Ka Muqaddar, co-starring Jimmy Sheirgill, Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia, Rajeev Mehta and Divya Dutta. She will be next seen in the Telugu movie, Odela 2 Hebah Patel, Vasishta N. Simha, Naga Mahesh, Surender Reddy, and Bhupal, among others. It's set to release on April 17, 2025. The actress also has Daring Partners alongside Diana Penty in her kitty.
