Taapsee Pannu is one of the most talented actresses in Bollywood. She is known for her versatile acting, captivating screen presence, and witty interviews. The actress has always been at the forefront of experimenting with her roles and portraying complex characters on-screen. In her personal life, Taapsee is married to badminton player turned coach, Mathias Boe. The couple tied the knot in March 2024 after dating for more than a decade. Recently, Taapsee revealed the reason why she never went to watch her husband play a crucial match in his career.
Recently, Taapsee sat down for an interview with the ANI and shared some details about her husband, Mathias Boe. The latter was the coach for badminton mixed doubles duo, Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy for the Paris Olympics 2024. It was the first time Taapsee went to see a critical match linked to Mathias. The actress went this time to cheer from the stands because it was possibly the last time Mathias was a part of the Olympic games. She was quoted as saying:
"This might be the last Olympics that Mathias is a part of. So that's why I was also like okay, I never went to see him play because I didn't want to."

For the unversed, Mathias Boe is a badminton player from Denmark. He was the gold medalist at the 2015 European Games and a silver medalist at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and he has several other accolades to his credit. Taapsee Pannu dated Mathias for more than a decade but never went to watch him play live at any crucial matches. The actress shared that she finds the game fast, which makes her stressed. So, she preferred to stay away from it. In her words:
"Because it was very stressful to see him play live. So all the years we were together, I never saw him play live. I went only for 2-3 Super Series tournaments, but not really the major ones because it was very stressful to watch him play. Every point counts, and it was too fast and stressful a game for me to watch. So I thought okay, this is the last time, and this time he's the coach. He's not the player so it's relatively less stressful. But this last opportunity, I must seize."
In the era of social media, the partners or spouses of a sportsperson are often trolled when the player doesn't perform well in a match. For instance, Anushka Sharma was often trolled when Virat Kohli wasn't able to perform well in a game. So, Taapsee was asked if she faced the same situation. In her reply, she said that she had chosen a path where trolling would be a part of her life and people talk about her because she is relevant. As a result, she doesn't pay much attention to it. She added:
"No, I think I've chosen a life which unfortunately, I got to know very late ki kuchh karo na karo, troll toh tum hoge hi. So I think this trolling has come into all of our lives lately. And I feel ki kuchh relevant hu tabhi toh troll ho rahi hu main."
