Sydney Sweeney, is an American actress who rose to prominence with the HBO drama series, Euphoria. Recently, America’s most popular clothing brand, American Eagle, onboarded her for its most expensive campaign to date. They titled the campaign as Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans. The clothing brand has come forward and joined hands with Sydney for its most luxurious campaign, featuring 3D billboards, viral stunts and exclusive custom jeans. Meanwhile, the American actress has undergone a drastic transformation for the upcoming biopic of legendary boxer, Christy Martin.

Sydney Sweeney to portray International Boxing Hall of Fame, Christy Martin on-screen

Sydney Sweeney will next be seen in the biopic of famous female boxer, Christy Martin, who was elected to the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2020. For portraying Christy on-screen, Sydney had to undergo a drastic transformation. According to a report by Variety, she gained almost 30 pounds for her role in the upcoming biopic. Yes, you read that right. Earlier in an interview with W magazine, Sydney shared her routine, while stepping into the shoes of the legendary boxer, Christy. In her words:

"I came onboard to play Christy, and I had about three and a half months of training. I started eating. I weight-trained in the morning for an hour, kickboxed midday for about two hours, and then weight-trained again at night for an hour. My body was completely different. I didn’t fit in any of my clothes. I’m usually a size 23 in jeans, and I was wearing a size 27. It was crazy! I was like, Oh my god. But it was amazing: I was so strong, like crazy strong."

Soon after Sydney shared a glimpse of herself from the upcoming biopic of Christy Martin, netizens flooded the comment section. America’s most popular clothing brand, American Eagle, has launched its biggest-ever fall campaign and collaborated with Sydney Sweeney for the same. The brand has partnered with Sydney to reaffirm its authority, particularly among Gen Z, amid the challenging retail environment in 2025. In fact, the Euphoria actress also helped design an exclusive pair of jeans, which she called The Sydney Jean.
