Swastika Mukherjee Opens Up On Her Early Arranged Marriage, 'I Would Have Been A Wreck Without..'

Popular actress, Swastika Mukherjee opened up about her arranged marriage, and how she would have been 'wrecked' without her daughter, Anwesha Sen. For the unversed, Swastika began her acting career while studying in college. She made her debut with the Bengali TV serial, Devdasi. Afterwards, she has given one after the other power pack performances in Bengali and Hindi films and also in a few television shows. Moreover, she appeared in many Bollywood films, such as Detective Byomkesh Bakshy in 2015, and Dil Bechara in 2020 and was latestly seen in the Netflix film, Qala in 2022.

In an interview with RJ Stutee, Swastika Mukherjee was asked whether she regrets her early arranged marriage. However, she was quick enough to answer that she didn't regret this at all. Moreover, she added how her existence would have become null and void without it as she wouldn't have been able to meet her daughter, Anwesha Sen. Sharing the same, she mentioned:

"No, it was an arranged marriage. I don't regret it (marriage) at all because the moment I think about that I could have lived my life without it, then I think that Anwesha would have not been there. And that thought just leaves my existence as fast as Flash (American comic strip superhero from DC Comics)."

Swastika Mukherjee on being a wreck if her daughter hasn't been with her

Further, Swastika mentioned how eternally grateful she is to the universe for getting blessed with such a wonderful daughter. The gorgeous actress also added that without Anwesha, she would have been a 'wreck'. Elaborating on the point, she added:

"So, I am eternally grateful to the universe that she (Anwesha) is there in my life. Otherwise, I would have been a wreck (without her) because this profession has its own struggle, which is very real."

For the unversed, Swastika Mukherjee had tied the knot with musician, Promit Sen in 1998, at the mere age of 18 years. The couple is also blessed with a daughter, Anwesha who was born in 2000. However, as per reports, Swastika and Promit's marriage went through turmoil, and they had soon parted ways. Since then, Swastika has been single-handedly taking all the responsibilities of her daughter, Anwesha.
