Ted Griffin worked in the entertainment industry as a screenwriter and has several Hollywood blockbusters in his filmography. Some of them include 1999's horror thriller, Ravenous, 2001's heist film, Ocean's Eleven, and 2003's comedy-crime film, Matchstick Men. His impeccable work made him a well-known name in the industry, earning him the alliances of some of the industry's biggest players. 

Among the several connections Ted Griffin has made during his stint in Hollywood, his boldness with Martin Scorsese is the most notable. The screenwriter collaborated with Martin on several projects, such as 2010's Public Speaking and Netflix's Pretend It's a City in 2021. In addition to screenwriting and producing credits, Ted also appeared on screen. In 2013, he had a cameo as 'Agent Hughes' in Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street.

The intimate ceremony was held in Santa Barbara. 

While most of the event was private, fans got a glimpse of Sutton Foster's gorgeous dress during TLC's Say Yes to the Dress. However, the episode premiered after their wedding. During a conversation with PEOPLE, Sutton reflected on her choice of dress and stated:

Ted Griffin and Sutton Foster became parents to a little angel, Emily Dale, in 2017. The couple adopted their little princess after a relentless battle with fertility issues. In 2019, the actress told PEOPLE that she realized "Emily was so clearly meant to be our daughter." The actress announced the joyous news to the audience at her Lincoln Center American Songbook performance at Alice Tully Hall. She was quoted as saying:

"Our lives are forever changed, and our hearts are exploding."

However, Sutton Foster and Ted Griffin's decision to adopt came after years of fertility struggles. Still, they decided not to tell many people about their adoption process before officially welcoming their child. Ever since the couple brought their little baby home, they have been elated. They spent hours bonding and built a beautiful home together. Sutton even credited Ted for being the reason she understood the 'concept of motherhood'. In a conversation with PEOPLE in 2018, she reflected on being a mom and stated:

"I'm fascinated by Emily; she changes every day. It doesn't matter where she came from, my belly or someone else's belly. When she was born, I was like, 'What took me so long?' And I realized I was waiting for her to come into my life."

Sutton Foster and Ted Griffin's divorce

According to a court document obtained by PEOPLE, Sutton Foster filed for divorce from Ted Griffin in the New York County Supreme Court on October 22, 2024. The couple didn't reveal the reason behind their separation. However, many believed they had just fallen out of love; on the other hand, a source told Us Weekly that the actress's rumoured romance with Hugh Jackman led to their divorce. While neither addressed the speculations, Sutton confirmed her relationship with Hugh in January 2025. The couple made their red carpet debut on October 27, 2025 (ET), further confirming that they are going strong.
