Sunny recalled the challenges he faced during his early days in school and when he read scripts.

Sunny Deol shares of how he has coped with Dyslexia

Sunny sat down for an interview with Times Now Digital and spoke about the time when he had a lot of difficulties in studying, as he had Dyslexia. The actor revealed that at that time, the scenario was such that if one was not good with studies, then he was known as a duffer. He also recalled getting beaten and remembered how he understood about Dyslexia when his own child faced the same. Sunny said:

"It's an individual thing. Every child is gifted with something or the other. Once the child realises what he is good at, that is where the child should be maneuvering his life. If you give me a teleprompter, mujhe takleef hogi."

Sunny Deol shares how he passed in exams due to sports

Sunny, in the interview also revealed that one adapts to the new changes and also revealed how, back in school, he was so fond of sports. He was virtually in every team, as there was no sport where Sunny was not there. His energy was in sports, and when he spoke about the same, all thought that his IQ was pretty high. In his words:

"But that was the reason I would just pass through without reading and writing. I would still pass my exams and move ahead. So, that is because your brain is giving you the answers too. That's how it was."

He also shared that everyone had a different way to adapt to things, and one had different approaches to the same. He always worked with the understanding that he believed in his craft and his character and that what was written would take place. Sunny also revealed that he never let anyone know or feel that he was dyslexic. In his words:

"When you start reading it, those words and sentences start framing properly. Otherwise, aage peeche jump hota rahata hi. Nobody knew about it. I never made anyone feel about it."

When Sunny Deol shared that he gets his dialogues written in Hindi

Sunny once in an interview with India Today shared that he did not initially know what Dyslexia was, as everyone used to think that he was a duffer. He did admit to getting his dialogues written in Hindi as he takes the time to read and then make them on his own, which is his preparation time. Sunny revealed that he has often been told to use a Teleprompter, to which he tells the people to narrate what he has to say and then speaks out the same. In the same interview, the actor did note that his dad, Dharmendra, would do two to three shifts, sleep for a few hours and do films back-to-back. He shared that no one had the bandwidth to do the same in today's day and age, and he finds the research done by stars as all things gibberish.
