Priya Sachdev Kapur has been going through a difficult time after she was dragged into a legal dispute over her late businessman husband, Sunjay Kapur's multimillion-dollar estate. It started after his children with his former wife, Karisma Kapoor, approached the Delhi High Court and claimed that she had forged his will and intentionally deprived them of their rightful share.
Amidst the legal battle, Priya has not forgotten the rituals that were done by her late husband. On October 24, 2025, Priya took to her Instagram handle and shared glimpses from the hawan ceremony with friends and colleagues on her IG stories. Priya was dressed up in a yellow-hued suit with small-butti print all over it.

Priya's son, Azarius, wore a green-hued kurta as he took part in the puja ceremony. She also shared a throwback picture of her late husband, Sunjay, performing the puja with his son, Azarius. Along with it, Priya penned how she is taking forward her husband's legacy with her. She wrote:
"Our prayer for protection, peace and prosperity… moving forward carrying your legacy with us."

On the occasion of Sunjay Kapur's 54th birthday, Priya Sachdev posted photos from Sunjay Kapur's prayer meet. She offered flower garlands to a large portrait of Sunjay Kapur and was bowing to pray to him. The pain was clearly visible in her post, wherein she mentioned how Sunjay's death has left a huge heartache in her. She wrote:
"Today I feel his loss very deeply! Sunjay's loss leaves a heart ache in me no one can heal."

For the unversed, Karisma's lawyer, senior advocate, Mahesh Jethmalani, talked about the actress' inheritance battle for her kids, who are Class 1 heirs of late Sunjay Kapur's Rs. 30,000 crore properties. The lawyer stated that Karisma doesn't want anything for herself; the entire aim is to secure her kids' future. He said:

"Karisma Kapoor doesn’t want anything for herself. The entire aim of this litigation is to secure her children in the manner in which her late ex-husband wanted them to be secure — which is as per a trust deed that dealt with his assets in India, his corporate assets in India, and by and large, his assets abroad."
Karisma Kapoor's children, Samaira Kapur and Kiaan Kapur, have moved to the Delhi High Court to seek a share in their father's property. They urged to be recognised as Class 1 legal heirs to Kapur's personal assets in the late businessman's Rs. 30,000 crore estate. In the lawsuit, they made shocking revelations against Priya Sachdev. They accused Sunjay Kapur's third wife, Priya Sachdev, of usurping the 'full control' over their father's assets.

They claimed that their step-mother, Priya Sachdev, forged the will after his sudden death in June 2025, in the United Kingdom. The children are being represented by their mother, Karisma Kapoor, in court. Karisma's children have questioned the will dated March 21, 2025. According to the will, Sunjay's entire personal estate has been left in the name of Priya Kapur.
Priya is truly taking forward her late husband's legacy.
