This information was not confirmed, and days after Sunjay's funeral in New Delhi, his third wife, Priya Sachdev Kapur was appointed as a non-executive director of Sona Comstar.

The designation of chairman of this firm was given to Jeffrey Mark. Following this, Priya gave a tribute to her husband. She changed her profile photo on IG that featured her and Sunjay's photos. In her bio, she further called herself a mom, entrepreneur and non-executive director of Sona Comstar. She further revealed that she's trying to take forward her late husband, Sunjay's vision.

For the unversed, Sunjay Kapur's third wife, Priya Sachdev Kapur is the daughter of Automobile dealer, Ashok Sachdev. Priya has an extensive career. Priya Sachdev currently serves as the non-executive director of Sona Comstar and director of Aureus Investment. She also had a brief appearance in the glamour world, wherein she worked with several ads and was seen in the movie, Neal 'n' Nikki. Talking about her personal life, she was earlier married to Vikram Chatwal, with whom she has a daughter. Later, she parted ways from Vikram and got married to Sunjay, after his divorce from Karisma Kapoor.

A month after Sunjay Kapur's demise, his mom, Rani Kapur made some shocking claims, as she asked Sona Comstar to hold the annual general meeting. She said her son's death is suspicious, as she hasn't received any clear explanation about how he died. She also stated that she has not yet appointed anyone to the director's table of Sona Comstar.

Apart from that, Rani Kapur shared that she has also been denied access to all her accounts. Another shocking claim from her was that she had been forced to sign documents behind the locked doors after her son's demise, when she didn't have the mental and emotional state to go through the contents. However, she was forced to sign the documents.
