According to early media reports from  News18 and NewsX, Sunjay Kapur, who was in England playing polo, reportedly inhaled a bee mid-game, which allegedly stung him in the throat. The sting is said to have triggered a severe allergic reaction, which ultimately led to a fatal cardiac arrest. 

Sources also suggest that the 53-year-old businessman felt a sudden discomfort in the middle of his game and left the field, but shortly after, he collapsed, unable to recover from the shock. Those who witnessed the incident unfold claim that Sunjay Kapur was playing against a team captained by hotelier Jaisal Singh when the unexpected accident occurred. 

Sunjay Kapur’s last social media post hours before his death

Adding to the tragedy, Sunjay Kapur’s last social media post came merely hours before his tragic demise. In his final post on X (formerly Twitter), the industrialist mourned the horrible Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad that claimed the lives of all 241 passengers and had a single survivor, the A11 passenger, who managed to jump off the emergency exit moments before the plane crashed. Reacting to the same, Sunjay mourned the incident and tweeted:

"Terrible news of the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad. My thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected. May they find strength in this difficult hour."

Sunjay Kapur’s post on ‘limited time’ on earth, days before his demise

Another chilling post from Sunjay Kapur’s social media is now going viral, where he wrote about the uncertainty of life and making the most out of the limited time one has. In a freaky coincidence, the post was made just three days before the 53-year-old industrialist passed away most unexpectedly. Taking to X, Sanjay posted a picture on ‘what ifs’ and ‘what nots’ with the caption:

“Progress demands bold choices, not perfect conditions.”

Kareena, Saif, Malaika rush to be with Karisma

As the news of Sunjay’s demise broke, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan were seen reaching Karisma Kapoor’s residence in Mumbai late Thursday night to offer comfort and support to the grieving actress. Karisma’s Close friends, Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora, and Shakeel Ladak, were also spotted at her residence, visibly devastated over the tragic news. Official confirmation and the family's reaction to the incident are still awaited. 

Karisma-Sunjay’s bittersweet marriage

Sunjay Kapur married Karisma Kapoor in 2003, and they became parents to two children, Samaira and Kiaan. However, their relationship ended on a bitter note with a messy public divorce in 2016, marred by allegations of domestic violence and harassment related to dowry. Despite their bitter legal battle, the couple later maintained cordial ties for the sake of their two children. Post-divorce, Sunjay married model-entrepreneur Priya Sachdev, with whom he had a son, Azarias.
