'Hema Malini Held Gita Path At Home', Reveals Sunita Ahuja While Govinda Attended Dharmendra's Meet

Bollywood legend Dharmendra's passing not only left his fans in pain, but also his two families. The actor was married twice, first wifem Prakash Kaur and then he fell in love with Hema Malini, and married her. Despite being married, Hema Malini never disturbed Dharmendra's first family, and even after his death, she didn't interfere while they hosted the legend's prayer meet. Now, Sunita Ahuja revealed that Hema Malini hosted a Bhagavad Gita and a Bhajan for her late husband.

Hema Malini held a Bhagavad Gita path at home for Dharmendra

Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja, who was present at Hema Malini's residence, revealed that the veteran actress held a Gita Path and Bhajan for her late husband, Dharmendra. On the other hand, her husband, Govinda, attended a prayer meeting held by Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. In an interview with SCREEN, Sunita Ahuja revealed she cried a lot listening to the bhajans in front of Hema Malini. When asked about how Hema Malini was dealing with the loss, she called it a big loss. Sunita was quoted as saying:

"Hema ji had kept a path of Bhagavad Gita and bhajans. So, we all listened to the bhajans. I couldn’t stop crying in front of Hema ji. What can one say… It’s a huge loss. He was such a legend. I couldn’t stop crying. He was my childhood crush. I respect their family so much. I am really broken at the moment."

Sunita further added that she met Dharmendra during the Ganpati celebration. She attended the celebration with her son, Yashvardhan, as Esha Deol had invited her to the Ganpati celebration. She further revealed that she married Govinda as he resembled Dharmendra. 

Hema Malini's last post for Dharmendra 

Taking to her X account, Hema Malini penned an emotional post and revealed how Dharmendra was everything to her. She called him a loving husband and adoring father of their two daughters, Esha and Ahaana. For Hema Malini, Dharmendra was not just a husband, but a friend, philosopher, guide, poet, and her go-to person. He has been with her in all ups and downs of life. She wrote:

"He was many things to me. Loving Husband, adoring Father of our two girls, Esha & Ahaana, Friend, Philosopher, Guide, Poet, my ‘go to’ person in all times of need - in fact, he was everything to me! And always has been through good times and bad. He endeared himself to all my family members with his easy, friendly ways, always showing affection and interest in all of them."

Hema Malini further mentioned that it is an indescribable loss and the vacuum created is something that is going to last with her for the rest of her life. She stated that after years of being together, she is left with just memories. She concluded her note by mentioning:

"As a public personality, his talent, his humility in spite of his popularity, and his universal appeal set him apart as a unique icon unequalled among all the legends. His enduring fame and achievements in the film industry will last forever. My personal loss is indescribable and the vacuum created is something that will last through the rest of my life. After years of togetherness, I am left with myriad memories to relive the many special moments…"

Hema Malini once talked about her living condition with Dharmendra after her children grew up

In a 2023 interview for Lehren Retro, Hema Malini talked about her living condition with Dharmendra. She accepted that nobody wants to be like that, but it happened to her. And she accepted it, but nobody wants to live their life like this.
