Govinda's Wife, Sunita Ahuja Calls Son, Yashvardhan's Upcoming Debut Better Than Ahaan's 'Saiyaara'

Recently, Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have been making a lot of headlines because of their on-going divorce rumours. Even though, none of these rumours are confirmed by the couple, days ago, fans were shocked to know that Sunita had filed for divorce after putting some major allegations on Govinda. Amid that, Sunita Ahuja recently opened up about her son, Yashvardhan's Bollywood debut film. 

Did Sunita Ahuja take an indirect dig at Ahaan Panday’s film, Saiyaara?

Recently, Sunita Ahuja sat down for a fun and candid conversation with Eat Travel Repeat. During the conversation, Sunita Ahuja reacted to the comment of a netizen, who had said that Yashvardhan is so handsome that he should have been in the film, Saiyaara. To this, Sunita replied by saying that Yashvardhan is doing a better film than Saiyaara. Reportedly, Yashvardhan is all set to make his debut with the remake of filmmaker Sai Rajesh’s Telugu movie, Baby. Sunita said:

"I wish. But usse better picture kar raha hai Yash."

Sunita Ahuja continued by saying that she hasn't seen the film, Saiyaara till now, but her son, Yashvardhan has seen it twice and absolutely loved it. She also shared that she wants to see the film and is waiting for it to come on Netflix. She concluded this topic by wishing luck to all newcomers. In her words:

"Maine abhi tak dekhi nahi hai. Yash ne do baar dekhi hai. Main dekhungi, mujhe dekhna hai. But abhi 14 tareek ko shayad aa raha hai naa Netflix pe. But good good. Best of luck to all the kids who are coming up. And I want ki sab bachhe khoob naam kamaye." 

Sunita Ahuja shares about her bond with Raveen Tandon’s daughter, Rasha

In the same interview, when Sunita was asked about her bond with Rasha Thadani, she shared that she hasn’t really spent that much time with her. Sunita explained that Raveena had once called her to attend the trial but she was in Jaipur at that time, because of which she had to miss it. But  later, she had watched Rasha’s film, Azaad in theatres and said that she reminds her of Raveena’s childhood. In her words:

"Yash ke saath hai uska. I have not met her still, like 'met her' met her. But Raveena ne mujhe phone ki thi, trial mein aane ke liye. Main Jaipur mein thi, Khatu Shyam. Main pooja kar rahi thi. Toh I told her I couldn't come. But maine theatre mein jaake dekhi picture, achhi lagi mujhe. She's a sweet girl. Raveena ka bachpan yaad aata hai."

Sunita Ahuja and Govinda’s divorce rumours

Rumours around Sunita Ahuja and Govinda's split resurfaced recently when several outlets reported that Sunita had filed for divorce on December 5, 2025, on some serious grounds. Reports suggest that court insiders mentioned that since divorce was filed, both Sunita and Govinda have been attending counselling sessions to try and fix things. 

However, amid all the rumours, Govinda's manager dismissed all the divorce news and explained that everything is going good. He also revealed that the couple is all set to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi together. Despite everything, Sunita and Govinda haven't released any official statement, because of which everything still remains just as rumours.
