Sunita Ahuja Reveals Govinda Is 'Fond' Of Stupid People Who Talk 'Nonsense', 'I Don't Like..'

Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, are among the most admired couples in Bollywood. The couple has been married for over 35 years and continues to set milestones together. Govinda, who became one of the most loved actors in the '90s with his films like Dulhe Raja, Coolie No. 1, Hero No.1 and Raja Babu, among others, always received unconditional support from his wife, Sunita. Earlier, she used to stay away from the spotlight, but in the last few years, Sunita sat down for several interviews and gave an honest insight into her marriage with the actor. In a new interview, Sunita shared how she and her husband have different preferences regarding the kind of people they like. 

Sunita Ahuja reveals Govinda is fond of 'stupid people'

Sunita Ahuja, admired for her frank and confident nature, sat down for an interview with Curly Tales. During the conversation, she shared Govinda's schedule and revealed that since he used to work around the clock in the '80s and '90s, he has developed a habit of sleeping late at night that continues to this day. Also, Sunita mentioned that despite being married for 35 years, she and her husband, Govinda, have different personalities.

Citing an example, Sunita explained that she prefers to speak less and save her energy by not talking with 'stupid' people. However, she added that Govinda is different and he likes those kind of people. Moreover, the star wife mentioned that those people and her husband sit down and have senseless conversations. Needless to say, she disapproves. In her words: 

"I like to talk less because I don't like to waste my energy on stupid people. However, Govinda is very fond of stupid people. He sits with four stupid people, and then they talk nonsense, which I don't like. I prefer spending my energy meditating and praying."

Sunita Ahuja admitted rumours about Govinda's affairs affected her 

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Sunita Ahuja admitted that she used to know about linkup rumours related to her husband that swirled in the media. Still, she tried not to pay much heed to those rumours as Govinda used to work non-stop in multiple shifts. However, as her husband has turned 60, Sunita revealed that she feels insecure about him. She said: 

"Dil par patthar rakhna padta hai kyunki kabhi yahan link up, kabhi wahan. But often, he would be working non-stop, so time hi nahi tha affair karne ka. Ab woh kaam nahi kar raha hai, toh mujhe insecurity hai kahi affair na kar le. 60 ke baad log sathiya jaate hain!”

Sunita first met Govinda at a wedding when his uncle, Anand Singh, married her sister. Soon, the couple began dating and tied the knot on March 11, 1987. The actor kept his marriage hidden during the initial phase of his career to secure his career and later they made it public. They have two kids, a daughter, Tina Ahuja and a son, Yashvardhan.
