Sunil Pal rose to immense fame after he lifted the trophy of the first season of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2005. His unique style of comedy and on-point punchlines made him the favourite comedian of his time. Recently, Sunil Pal made headlines after he went missing after attending a show outside of Mumbai. Now, his wife, Sarita, has claimed that he was kidnapped.
On December 4, 2024, Sunil Pal came back home after a day of being missing. His wife, Sarita claimed that he was fine and at home. She also added that the 49-year-old comedian was kidnapped and stated that they would make the details public soon. In an interview with ETImes, Sarita was quoted as saying :
"Sunil ji is back home, Sunil ji gave his statement about Kidnappers to police after coming. Police is helping and supporting us, Everything is fine with him, rest of the matter we will soon open up to our wellwishers once Police allow us after complete statement procedure and FIR."
Earlier, Sunil Pal's wife, Sarita, revealed that police had traced him down and didn't know what happened to him. She stated that the comedian looked disturbed as they spoke to him over the phone.
As per a News9live report, famous comedian, Sunil Pal had gone missing. According to the comedian's wife, Sarita, the 49-year-old comedian went out of Mumbai for a show on December 3, 2024. He was supposed to return home after the show, but he didn't come back. While she tried contacting him multiple times, his phone was switched off, which further left the family in tension.
The report further claims that Sarita went to the Santacruz police station after she was unable to connect with Sunil Pal. She waited for the comedian to return for several hours. She filed a missing complaint, and an investigation is currently underway.

For the unversed, on December 1, 2024, Sunil Pal shared a couple of videos on his Instagram handle. The comedian was seen enjoying a boat ride with his friends. He looked happy as he showed off the scenic blue sea and the boat riding through the waves. Along with it, Sunil wrote:
"Nadiya Ke Paar."
