Exclusive: Sunil Pal Shares Kidnappers Demanded Ransom Of Rs 20 Lakh For His Release, 'Darr Ke..'

Comedian and actor, Sunil Pal was kidnapped recently after he fell into an online scam. He revealed exclusively how the kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs. 20 lakh for him and how he had to negotiate for his release. Sunil had received a call to perform at a birthday show in Haridwar on December 2, 2024. He revealed that his kidnappers had booked evening tickets for his flight and had also paid him an advance of 50 percent. For the event, he was given a car, and in the middle of the road in Delhi, his car was changed.

Sunil Pal reveals how the kidnappers released him

Sunil revealed the incident took place on December 2, 2024. The number 2 is lucky for the comedian as his birthday is also on 2nd May. Sunil, in an exclusive interview with BollywoodShaadis, revealed how he was threatened by the kidnappers, who were a gang. They told him that they committed murders, thrown bodies in the lake and if he wanted that nothing should happen to him, then he needed to pay. The ace comedian revealed how he was threatened to pay Rs. 20 lakh and how he negotiated. In his words:

"Dusri gadi mei change karne ke baad hui. Mai bhi dar gaya ki kaha lekar aaya. Pata nai kaha le aaya. Unhone mujhe bataya ki Rs. 20 lakh chahiye. Maine dar ke maare bola Rs. 20 lakh nai hai. Mei Rs. 10 lakh tak try kar sakta hu. Aur ATM card mang rahe thei. Maine kaha yeh sab mei rakhta nai hu. Gadi mei bithakar leke gaye, transaction ki, 3-4 dosto se paisa mangwaye. Unhone transfer kia. Raatko 9 se subah 4 baj gaye. Lekin unka transaction hota tha pata nai kisko dena hota tha. Lamba time jata tha. 6 baje unko Rs. 10 lakh chahiye toh maximum Rs. 7.5-Rs. 8 lakh requirement ho chuki thi."

Sunil Pal's kidnappers booked a flight for him and gave him money

The kidnappers, after getting Rs 7.5-8 lakh, told the comedian that he would be released and that his flight was booked. His eyes were tied with a cloth till the time he did not reach the airport. Sunil quipped:

"Unhone mujhe bola ki aapko chodh dete hai. Aapka aana flight se karwaya tha jana bhi flight se karwaenge. Yeh Rs. 20,000 jeb mei rakhiye. Aakhon mei patti bandh kar unhone bahar bulaya and bola 10-12 minutes mei nikal jaenge. Nikalne ke baad patti kholna aur aap airport flight se jaana theek hai. Nikal gaye patti kholi aur flight pakad ke Delhi se Mumbai aaya. Aakhri flight thi 11.55 ki ussei Mumbai aa gaya."

Sunil Pal reveals the conversation, that the scammers had with him

The comedian got a call on his phone, and the people at the disguised event spoke politely and in a corporate way. He said that they pretended to be a small event company that used to do events in UP and Uttarakhand. In the words of Sunil, the kidnappers told him:

"Aur sir Delhi, Meerut, Utaarakhand mei hota hai. Hamari ek inquiry aayi hai aapke liye. Ek birthday show karte hai kya sir, woh 5-star hotel mein banquet hall mei hoga. Payment Rs 1.5 lakh hoga."

The kidnappers initially paid Sunil Pal a token amount

The comedian also stated that the kidnappers paid him an advance of Rs. 35,000 but had promised to pay 50% of the amount after he reached Delhi. Sunil, as of now is shocked, hurt, disturbed and in trauma.
