Suneil Shetty Reacts On Becoming 'Nana', Wards Off Evil Eye From Daughter, Athiya And Newborn Baby

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul's families are in seventh heaven as they prepare their homes to welcome the princess into their lives. Athiya, on March 24, 2025, delivered a happy, healthy baby girl and shared the announcement with her and her husband, KL Rahul's millions of fans. However, it is her father, Suneil Shetty, whose happiness knows no bounds. 

Suneil Shetty reacted to Athiya Shetty's baby girl's arrival announcement

A child brings happiness to the family, especially a baby girl. In India, a daughter is considered Goddess Lakshmi, and Bollywood actor, Suneil Shetty is super happy as his daughter, now has her own daughter. On Athiya Shetty's baby arrival announcement, the elated nanu commented with a heart and a blue evil eye emoji to ward off all the buri nazar. Athiya's brother, Ahan Shetty, also commented with the same emojis.

On March 24, 2025, Athiya delivered her first child, a baby girl. Taking to her Instagram handle, she shared a collaborative post with her husband, KL Rahul. The post had a beautiful illustration of two swans in a pond. Below it was written:

"Blessed with a baby girl, 24-3-2025, Athiya and Rahul."

When Suneil Shetty predicted he would be walking with his grandchild on the next season of dance reality show

Suneil Shetty created a lot of clamour when he revealed on the reality show, Dance Deewane that in the next season, he would be walking with his grandchildren. He made the prediction when, during the grandparent's special episode, Bharti told Suniel that he has to behave when he becomes a grandfather, as no kid can handle such a cool grandparent. To which, Suniel said:

“Yes next season when I come I will be walking on the stage like a Nana.”

When Suneil Shetty stated his daughter, Athiya looked beautiful while pregnant

For a father, his daughter is always the prettiest, but something changes when he sees his little girl as a grown-up woman. Suneil Shetty went through a similar set of emotions as he revealed that his daughter looks the most beautiful when she is pregnant. He said:

"I always thought, I mean women overall, but I always thought Mana (his wife) looked the most beautiful when she was pregnant. I see Athiya and she’s looking the most beautiful."

When Athiya Shetty shared photos flaunting her baby bump

On January 29, 2025, Athiya took to her Instagram handle and posted a couple of pictures from her pregnancy diaries. The mommy-to-be radiated pregnancy glow in a monochrome ensemble. She picked a white flowy skirt with a pair of black turtleneck sweaters. She styled her hair long, curly hair tied in a ponytail.

Subtle makeup and statement-long danglers completed her look. In the first photo, Athiya was seen flaunting her glow, while in another, she was seen cradling her fully-grown baby bump. She also shared a sunkissed picture of herself, and the living room area, which was decorated with sunflowers.
