The 2025 Streamer Awards just took place at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles on December 6, 2025. Many fans were looking forward to this event as it honours several top creators across Twitch, YouTube, and other streaming platforms. From major wins and emotional speeches to other viral moments, it all quickly spread across social media. In case you have ever wondered who the creator behind this award show is, it is none other than a 31-year-old Blaire, popularly known as QTCinderella, who is a streamer herself. While many people tend to think that streaming is a rather easy job, she recently revealed that the life behind the camera is far more painful than it appears to be.
To the public and most of her followers, QTCinderella might appear as an incredibly influential and successful content creator. However, according to the streamer, her career came at the cost of something that she never truly anticipated. During a recent interview with BBC, QTCinderella shared that while she feels “incredibly lucky” for having a large platform where people care about her content, she wishes that she could warn her younger self to walk away. She stated:
"If I could go back and never experience some of the things I've experienced because of this job, I do think I would be a happier person overall. The biggest thing I wish I could do, if I went back and was able to whisper in my ear, I would say, don't do it."

QTCinderella is not the first streamer to publicly speak out about harassment. This is especially true given the number of female content creators who faced the same challenges and spoke openly about them in 2025. Streamers' safety at public events has become a topic of growing concern these days. The severity of it can be understood if we take a look at an incident that occurred in March 2025, when three US Twitch streamers, Cinna, Valkyrae, and Emiru, were a man who wanted to take their lives while they were participating in a week-long marathon stream. In another event in October 2025, during the annual Twitchcon event, streamer, Emiru faced another uncomfortable incident when a man from the crowd tried to kiss her without her consent. Her personal security team took the matter into their own hands and intervened in time. However, Emiru later allegedly accused the on-site security of not detaining the man until after the event ended.

QTCinderella detailed the harassment she has faced to the BBC and revealed that if she were to open her Instagram DMs right that instant, she would easily be able to read at least “100 horrible things about why or how [she] could be harmed by people.” Unfortunately, the harassment was not limited to mere insults online. In 2021, she had to spend over 2,000 USD every month out of her pocket to remove heavily edited images of herself from the web. This was only the beginning of her problems, as two years later, in 2023, she discovered deepfakes using her likeness in explicit content.

While you might assume that her offline life would be safe from such dangers, QTCinderella explained that's not the case, as she feels unsafe even visiting her Los Angeles craft shop, which she opened earlier this year, in 2025. This is because strange men would often show up at the shop looking for her, something which also endangered her employees. She said:
