'Stranger Things 5' Teaser Pays Tribute To 'Eddie Munson', Hints At A Darker Final Showdown

Stranger Things is not just any other TV show; it has become a part of the audience's life for years now. Ever since its beginning on Netflix in 2016, the sci-fi horror show quickly won hearts by taking viewers back to the 80s in its dark Upside Down world. Every episode focuses on the unique journeys of their interesting characters, which managed to keep the audience hooked. However, four seasons later, the show is heading towards its conclusion with the fifth and final season. While fans have been curious to know how their favourite show might end, Netflix has just dropped the teaser for Stranger Things 5, which has set the stakes high.

Stranger Things 5's plot focuses on finding and killing 'Vecna'

Netflix recently released a 2-minute and 47-second teaser for Stranger Things 5, which promises a dark and epic ending to the grand show. It gives us glimpses of the new season's plot, which picks up things from the aftermath of season 4, when 'Eddie Munson' sacrificed himself in the Upside Down. He left his friends to confront and tackle 'Vecna', which left audiences in tears at the end of last season. 

Despite his absence in the fifth season, it showcases how the death of 'Eddie' has affected everyone. Especially, there is a gripping scene where his close pal, 'Dustin', is shown visiting 'Eddie's grave where someone used their blood to write, "Burn in Hell" on his tombstone. The insensitive message is an example of how the local folks have continued to hold a hatred for Eddie, as many believe he was behind the murders done by 'Vecna'.

Everyone will come together for the final time in Stranger Things 5

According to the official synopsis for the new season, finding and defeating 'Vecna' will get challenging after the authorities implement a military quarantine on Hawkins. As they try to find 'Eleven', she is forced to go into hiding. On the other hand, the coming anniversary of 'Will's disappearance hints at the return of the old fear that they must come together for a dark and terrifying showdown like never before. 

Stranger Things 5 will mark the return of the main characters in a two-volume release 

According to the show's creators, Ruff Duffer, they have included details from season one's 25-page document about the show's mythology in the fifth season, making it worth the wait. Some main characters from the series like Millie Bobby Brown who plays 'Eleven', Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and Noah Schnapp, among others, would feature in the last season. Everything will be worth the wait as the final season will release in two volumes. The first one with four episodes will release on November 26, 2025, and the second volume with three episodes will grace your screen on Christmas. Lastly, the Finale episode releases on New Year's Eve, will mark an ideal beginning to 2026
