When a couple sees two lines on their pregnancy test kit or gets positive on their pregnancy reports, their life starts to change forever. Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli had ‘promised each other to be bound in love forever’ on December 11, 2017. On January 11, 2021, they had embraced parenthood when Anushka had given birth to a baby girl. On February 1, 2021, Anushka had shared the first-ever family picture on her Instagram handle, and had announced their daughter's unique name in the caption, which could be read as:
"We have lived together with love, presence and gratitude as a way of life but this little one, Vamika has taken it to a whole new level! Tears, laughter, worry, bliss emotions that have been experienced in a span of minutes sometimes. Sleep is elusive but our hearts are SO full. Thanking you all for your wishes, prayers and good energy."
With Virat’s ‘V’ and Anushka’s ‘Ka’ combined with ‘Ami’, Vamika is special in her own way! Once, Virat was asked the meaning of Vamika's name and a glimpse of the little one in an 'Ask Me Anything' session. To which, Virat had replied:
"Vamika is another name for goddess Durga. No, we have decided as a couple to not expose our child to social media before she has an understanding of what social media is and can make her own choice."

Shahid Kapoor’s wedding with ‘Delhi-based girl’, Mira Rajput was the talk of the town when they had tied the knot on July 7, 2015. They had welcomed their first baby, Misha Kapoor on August 26, 2016. Misha’s name is a combination of her parents' name as she got ‘Mi’ from her mommy, Mira’s name and ‘Sha’ from her daddy, Shahid’s name.
In a conversation with Times Now, before Zain Kapoor's birth, Mira Rajput Kapoor had shared some details about naming her and Shahid's second baby and had also mentioned that it was Shahid, who had named their firstborn as Misha. Mira had said:
“We haven't decided the name of the baby yet. In fact, we are open to all suggestions. Misha’s name was Shahid's selection. So, this time, I might get to select the name.”
Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra had found love in each other in 2009 when they both were dealing with a low phase in their lives. After Aditya had divorced his first wife, Payal Khanna, he had started dating Rani. Aditya and Rani had tied the knot in 2014. On December 9, 2015, Rani had given birth to a little princess, whom they have named Adira Chopra.
With Aditya's 'Adi' and Rani's 'Ra', Adira is a combination of her parents' names. Post giving birth to Adira, Rani Mukerji had released an official statement, which could be read as:
“I would like to thank all my well wishers and fans. Today life has given us God’s greatest gift with Adira. We thank fans our friends and well wishers for their unconditional support and blessings. With joy we begin this new chapter in our lives.”

Sharad Kelkar and Keerti Gaekwad had received lots of love from their fans for their TV serial, Saat Phere. The voice of Baahubali, Sharad had taken the wedding vows with Keerti, the Marathi mulgi in June 2005. They had welcomed a baby girl, whom they have named Kesha on February 7, 2014. Kesha’s name is derived from the name of her parents, Sharad and Keerti.
Karan Mehra had met the love of his life, Nisha Rawal on the sets of the film, Hastey Hastey, where he had worked as a stylist. After falling in love, Karan and Nisha had dated for six years and had tied the knot in 2012. When Karan had participated in the reality show, Bigg Boss, Nisha had found out that she was pregnant. In 2017, the two had welcomed their baby boy, whom they have named Kavish Mehra. Kavish’s name is made out of a combination of his parents' names as it has 'Ka' from Karan and 'Ish' from Nisha.
A few days after welcoming their baby boy, Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal had shared his first picture on their respective IG handles and had announced their son’s name. Sharing the picture, they had written:
“14th of June 2017, we were touched by an angel in the form of a baby boy. We now call him & introduce to you "KAVISH MEHRA". Our joy would be incomplete without sharing this blessed news with you. 3 fold love from the 3 of us”
