SS Rajamouli's Friend Accuses Him And Rama Of His Suicide For A Woman, 'Asked Me To Sacrifice..'

Koduri Srisaila Sri Rajamouli, famously known as SS Rajamouli is one of the greatest filmmakers of all time. Rajamouli needs no introduction when it comes to his mettle, and he's one of the highest-grossing and highest-paid Indian directors. Recently, Rajamouly found himself in the midst of controversy as one of his self-claimed close friends and producer, Uppalapati Srinivasa Rao accused the former of harassment and torture in his personal and professional life. He reportedly shot a video and sent it to a police station before allegedly committing suicide.

If a report by the Hindustan Times is to be believed, Uppalapati Srinivasa shot a video and sent it to Mettu Police Station along with a suicide note before committing suicide. Big TV accessed the letter, wherein, Uppalapati Srinivasa Rao revealed that SS Rajamouli and Rama Rajamouli were the reason for his suicide. He further stated that people may think that he's doing this for a publicity stunt, but this was his final letter.

In the letter, Uppalapati Srinivasa added that everyone, such as MM Keeravaani to Chandrasekhar Yeleti and Hanu Raghavapudi is familiar with his closeness to SS Rajamouli. Saying that he never knew that a woman would come between him and Rajamouli, Srinivasa wrote:

"India’s number one director, SS Rajamouli and Rama Rajamouli, are the reason for my suicide. You might think I am doing this for publicity, but this is my final letter. Everyone from MM Keeravaani to Chandrasekhar Yeleti and Hanu Raghavapudi knows how close I have been to Rajamouli for years now. I never thought a woman could come between us.”

In the same letter, Uppalapati Srinivasa said that he and Rajamouli had a triangle love story much like the movie, Arya 2. He said that Rajamouli asked him to sacrifice his love for her, which he did. But later on, the director started torturing him, thinking he would tell this story to everyone. As per a report by News18 Telugu, it was Rajamouli who first fell for that woman, and eventually, Srinivasa also did the same, but for the sake of his friendship with the director, he sacrificed his love for that woman. Srinivasa mentioned that he and Rajamouli worked together till 2007 and after that, the director ruined his life. He shared that after Rajamouli became a big shot, he started torturing him more, and in his 55 years of life, he has lived alone. In Srinivasa's words:

"He asked me to sacrifice my love for her, and while I didn’t agree at first, I did later on. He believed I’d told people about this, and he began torturing me after we got into an argument. We worked together till Yamadonga (2007), but he ruined my life after that. He tortured me so much since he became a big shot. I am 55 years old and have lived a single life."

For the unversed, SS Rajamouli got married to Rama Rajamouli in 2001. Reportedly, it was a court marriage, which was highly private. For the unversed, Rajamouli's wife Rama was divorced with a son, when he proposed to her. Rama first thought this idea to be meaningless, and she refused Rajamouli's proposal. Well, for one year or so, Rajamouli tried to woo Rama, and he finally became successful in winning her heart over.
