S.S. Rajamouli is leading all the headlines as he is all set to bring another brilliant movie to the cinephiles. The RRR and Baahubali director recently released the teaser of his upcoming movie, Varanasi. The movie will be the first collaboration between S.S. Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu, and the first leaked glimpses showed the actor riding a bullock, with fierce eyes and a calm face, which gave us quite the goosebumps. The movie will be released in 2027 and is meant to be dropped in IMAX only, making it the second IMAX film to be released after Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. So, let's have a look at he budget the movie has.
While not officially disclosed, the way S.S. Rajamouli unveiled time-travel in the 3-minute glimpse of the movie, Varanasi, one thing is assured that the movie is made on a massive budget. While not confirmed, it is reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 1100 crore. Earlier reports also claimed that the movie could be made around the budget of Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1500 crore.

Well, given to the fact that it's made for IMAX, one can imagine the masterclass VFX that the audience is going to witness. Talking about the salary packages, Priyanka Chopra, who is making a return to the screens, as per KoiMoi, is being paid Rs. 30 crore, while Mahesh Babu isn't receiving any salary. Reportedly, Mahesh Babu and S.S. Rajamouli would have 40% share in the movie, and thus, it will totally depend on how the movie would work at the box office.

Since the teaser already set the bar high, raising the excitement among the fans with the layers of storytelling which felt like a time travel from ages back to the present, it will be challenging and even a bit pressurising for the makers to make the movie top-notch, as for IMAX movies, there should be no glitches, and they should be made minutely. Ramayana will be the first IMAX movie to be released, and thus, if it satisfies people enough already, there will be an added expectation to Mahesh Babu's movie as well.

In the first glimpse, Mahesh Babu was seen riding a bullock, covered in blood, and it felt like he was out there to lead a fight, as the teaser suggested. Reportedly, his role is titled 'Raghu'. His look as 'Lord Rama' also went viral, making people wonder if the movie is inspired by Ramayana. Rajamouli shared that a sequence of the movie will be Ramayana-inspired and that it took a total of 60 days for them to cover. He also praised Mahesh Babu and revealed that he got goosebumps, so much so that he even selected one of the actor's photos as Ram for his wallpaper, only to delete it later, in fear of it being leaked.
