Bollywood Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan's father, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan was a freedom fighter during the time of colonial India. However, do you know that Meer Tah had contested elections from Gurgaon back in 1957 and did not receive a single vote? This was because people at that time had only voted for Abul Kalam Azad from Congress who was Aamir Khan's great grand uncle.

When Shah Rukh Khan's dad fought against Aamir Khan's great- grand uncle

After the first Lok Sabha elections were held in Gurgaon back in 1952. It was in 1957 when the second Lok Sabha elections were held where Abul Kalam Azad, Aamir Khan's uncle from Congress, received 1,91,221 votes. The most interesting part of the election was that Taj Mohammad Khan didn't even receive a single vote which was a record in itself. SRK and Aamir had a generational rivalry. There was a post by a pop culture and film-related account named, Pop Base on X that read, "Name your favourite celebrity fact." A user commented by saying that Shah Rukh Khan's father contested the Lok Sabha Elections in 1957 from Gurgaon against Abul Kalam Azad, the great grand uncle of Aamir Khan.

When netizens reacted on SRK's dad and Aamir Khan's great uncle's rivalry

One user on Reddit commented, "The rivalry between the two existed before they were even born I know now why 2 don't like each other." Another one wrote, "His grandfather was chief engineer of Mangalore port. His mother was a magistrate. Apparently, she and Ruksana sultana were friends. I know back then he was a household name due to his serials, but still Rishi Kapoor, a third generation nepo actor was the second lead in Srk's debut movie means he already had an influential background."

A user also shared, "Waiting for the "SRK was privileged, fake PR story for sympathy". Yes, he wasn't poor from the beginning, he has never claimed to be one too. A person who's supposedly weaving a fake PR made rag to riches story would never mention that 'he used to see his mother travelling on flights for work and dream how he wants to see foreign one day too'. He has always called his father 'the most successful failure' referring to his failed ventures into business and other fields where they lost a lot of money and hence struggled in his early teens. He always namedrops so many theatre artists he spent time with while growing up because his father used to run a canteen in NDA Delhi, why would an otherwise "rich person" do that job?"
