Sridevi Didn't Allow Daughters, Janhvi And Khushi To Watch Her Films Revealed, 'Loveyapa' Actress

Bollywood has seen many talented actresses over the years. However, some have left an everlasting impact. One such actress was Sridevi. Sridevi didn't allow her daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, to watch her movies

Sridevi was a dynamite on screen but kept her personal life extremely private. The actress found joy in the simple acts of life and the company of those who were close to her. The actress also had a condition for her daughters, Janhvi and Khushi. In a recent interview with Vickey Lalwani, Sridevi's younger daughter, Khushi, revealed that Sridevi was exceedingly shy in real life and wouldn't allow her daughters to watch her films. Khushi shared that despite their mother's request, they would secretly watch their mother's movies. Talking about the same, Khushi Kapoor was quoted saying:

"She actually wouldn’t let us watch them (her movies) at home; it was a bit tough. She would just feel a bit shy. So, Janhvi and I would have to watch them secretly in a room by ourselves. Regardless, we did watch a lot of her movies."

Khushi Kapoor on emulating her mother, Sridevi's legacy

In the same conversation, Khushi Kapoor was asked if she sought to emulate any part of her mother's legacy. The actress responded that she didn't think so. She added that as an actor, she doesn't think one should mimic another person's performance. She also revealed that she doesn't want to touch her mother's legacy as this is her separate journey, and she is still learning. Khushi shared that she was still finding herself and didn't think following someone else's journey would make it any easier. 

Khushi Kapoor responds to Boney Kapoor being partial towards his daughters

In the same conversation, Khushi Kapoor was asked whether their father, Boney Kapoor, was ever partial toward her. The actress responded by sharing that she is the youngest in her family, which makes her father partial towards her at times. During the conversation, the interviewer also pointed out that Boney had cried watching her film, The Archies. Khushi, addressing the same, stated: 

"I don’t think he’d admit it to anyone else, but everyone senses it a little bit. Although he loves all of us the same, maybe he just has a soft spot in his heart for me. He does get emotional. Recently, he saw some other work of mine; it was a song where I’m crying, and then he started crying as well. I guess, somewhere, it’s kind of bad that I liked the fact that he cried seeing me cry. But it means it made him feel something."

About Khushi Kapoor's upcoming film, Loveyapa

Khushi Kapoor will be seen alongside, Aamir Khan's son, Junaid Khan in Loveyapa. The film is a multi-starrer and will also feature Grusha Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Tanvika Parlikar, and Kiku Sharda, among others. Presented by AGS Entertainment and Phantom, Loveyapa is a Phantom Studios production and directed by Advait Chandan. The film's title track was released on January 1, 2025, which had the netizens talking, making them even more impatient for the film's release on February 7, 2025.
