Well, if there is one word which could be attached with Sreesanth, it should be ‘drama’. We all remember Sreesanth crying on the field when he was slapped by Harbhajan Singh, in 2008, we also remember him dancing after taking a wicket in a match, and that epic reaction after taking the catch in the T20 World Cup final. And now, it’s Bigg Boss 12 where Sreesanth is fully entertaining us.
Recently, there were reports that Sreesanth is the lowest paid contestant on the show. But a report in The Times of India has another tale to tell. The report suggests that he is, in fact, the highest paid contestant on the show who gets a whopping Rs 50 lakhs per week as opposed to Rs 15-20 lakhs per week given to the famous TV celebs like Dipika Kakar and Karanvir Bohra.
The Times of India report could be read as, “He is, in fact, the highest paid, and is getting more than Rs 50 lakh per week. We have all the records. The channel even showed him the contract of all the participants to show him he was the highest paid in the history of Bigg Boss”.

Now, coming back to Sreesanth and his family, the 35-year-old former cricketer got married to the love of his life, a jewellery designer and a real-life princess, Bhuvneshwari Kumari on December 12, 2013. The couple has two children, a baby girl, Sree Sanvika and a boy, Suryasree. In Sree’s own words, his wife has always been there to support him and in an interview, he was quoted as saying, “My wife has always been a support system to my family and me. Even before the controversy she was always in touch with my family. When I was injured and I was out of cricket for 18 months, she was constantly in touch with me. She used to mail me songs, modulations and stuff. So I should say, it was a very nice gesture by her towards me and my family”. For the uninformed ones, it must be mentioned that three months before his wedding, Sreesanth was banned from playing cricket in all the formats for lifetime because of his involvement in the infamous 2013 IPL spot-fixing scam. Talking about his marriage, and if he had any doubts as to whether his girlfriend and her family would still accept him, he revealed in an interview, “We were anyways going to get married in September 2013 but I was doubtful whether I should get married or not after the controversy that happened. But fortunately, her family came down to Kochi and told us that we are going ahead with the marriage. I think that is the toughest situation for any girl to accept the proposal and get married”.
He also revealed that his was a love-cum-arranged marriage, “My mother decided that I should settle down in life and live life rather than dwell in the past. Mine was not a love marriage completely. It was a love which was arranged by both the families. We never proposed to each other. We never not holding hands and walking around. I remember holding her hands for the first time during our wedding. It was only when her father gave her hand in my hand during some ritual before, that my love story was like a 1942 love story”.
Further revealing how Bhuvneshwari has been his constant strength and pillar of support, Sreesanth opened up, “I started falling for her after my surgery in 2012 because I was on the wheelchair for almost two months and was on clutches for two months and my cricket contract also ended. And Bhuvaneshwari was the one who encouraged me and said that you should do what you like to do in life and was always there for me. She always messaged me that you can still play cricket and I was like I have two world cups and I can't play cricket. But she always supported me. Finally, in 2013 we decided to get married”.
