The trio has shared a close bond and are often seen being candid about their bond. However, it appears that they have hit a rough patch, and Sonu has made some serious decisions.

Sonu Kakkar left everyone in shock with her sudden announcement that she was no longer Neha Kakkar and Tony Kakkar's sister. The singer took to her social media accounts on the eve of April 12, 2025, and announced that she was severing all ties with her siblings. While there is no explanation for why the singer took such a drastic step, fans have grown concerned about the development. 

In the short note, Sonu Kakkar shared online, she revealed that she was extremely devastated to be informing her fans that she was no longer Neha and Tony's sister. She added that she had not come to make this decision easily and had come to it from a deep place of emotional pain. She concluded by stating that she was extremely disheartened and penned:

"Deeply devastated to inform you all that I am no longer a SISTER to the two talented superstars, Tony Kakkar and Neha Kakkar. This decision comes from a place of deep emotional pain, and I am truly disheartened today."

A user said, "PR ho sakta hai! The Kakkars are known to do such antics! Ek zamane me Neha had faked a pregnancy too! It could be a family Lafda! Ego clashes hote hai between siblings!" Another Redditor commented, "Who calls Tony a Superstar except a sister? You can never guess what is happening with this family. It may as well be PR stunt for their next music album."

However, there is no further clarification for what led the singer to make such a decision. Sonu Kakkar is well known for her song, Sun Baliye, which features Gajendra Verma. She has voiced several Punjabi, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Malayalam and Nepali songs.
