Sonam Kapoor Shares Pictures From 'Unexpected' Week-Off With Her Son, Vayu, Says, 'As It Should...'

Sonam Kapoor is an actress who has predominantly worked in the Hindi film industry. She made her debut in the entertainment world with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2005 superhit film, Black as an assistant director. She soon stepped in front of the camera in the 2007 film, Saawariya. While she has achieved some big commercial successes ever since, with roles in films like I Hate Lub Storys, Raanjhanaa, Neerja, Sanju, Bhaag Milka Bhag , and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, she is now more focused on her family. 

Sonam Kapoor spends her unexpected week off with son, Vayu

While Sonam Kapoor has shifted her priorities from films to family and her base from Mumbai to London, the actress is still actively building her career as a global ambassador for Dior and a co-founder of the luxury car care brand, Bhaane Group. However, amid her busy schedule, the actress managed to get an unexpected week off, and she made the most of it by spending time with her son, Vayu.

Sonam Kapoor took to her Instagram handle on the morning of April 29, 2025, and shared a series of images of her no-distractions time with Vayu. In the first picture, the actress was seen playing with her son, Vayu, on the swing set. The actress wore a comfortable blue hoodie paired with matching leggings. Her hair was tied in a messy updo, and she lovingly looked at her son, who could be seen wearing a yellow t-shirt, grey pants, and a paper crown, looking absolutely adorable. In the next picture, Sonam posed in a gorgeous white dress with a blue floral print all over.

The next slide was a video of Sonam Kapoor getting her makeup done. The actress also shared a book on 'Potty Training' by Gina Ford. The following picture showed Vayu and Sonam casually lounging as he read his book and mommy; Sonam once again looked at him with a love-filled gaze. She also shared a picture of a basket, tagged as 'Vayu Basket', following an image of the Easter-themed goodies placed inside. The post also featured a clip of Sonam working out with her son at the gym. 

Sonam Kapoor says her week off had no distractions

Sonam Kapoor penned a heartfelt note along with the pictures and videos. She revealed that she got an unexpected week off with no agendas. She added that she spent quality time with her 'baby boy' and shared that there were no distractions, exactly like life is meant to be. She further tagged her husband, Anand Ahuja, and stated how they have created a peaceful haven for themselves. Her post was quoted as saying:

"An unexpected week off with no agenda, and what a beautiful time spent with my baby boy. No distractions, and just life as it should be. @anandahuja, we've made such a little peace of heaven for ourselves. Love you so much. #everydayphenomenal."
