Sonam Kapoor, one of the most gorgeous actresses in the Hindi film industry, never skips a chance to win the hearts of her fans with her fashion game. Time and again, Sonam left people's jaws dropped on the floor with her style statement. The same happened again as she showcased her fashion game at the Vogue May-June photoshoot, and oh boy, each of her looks struck a chord in the hearts of her fans. For one of her looks, she even slipped into Parameshwar Godrej's zari blouse and beret.
Sonam Kapoor looked like an angel as she donned a vintage gara saree from Ashdeen. The saree was in a white hue and featured remnant tea stains on it. The drape had been done like a skirt. Along with it, Sonam wore a classy beret and a zari blouse. The Zari blouse and the beret enhanced the tea-stained white tone of the saree and made the look of the actress stand out.
For the unversed, the blouse and beret actually belong to the late Parmeshwar Godrej. Parmeshwar Godrej was India's billionaire businessman, Adi Godrej's wife, and also was India's leading socialite and philanthropist. It was back in 2016 when Parmeshwar Godrej bid farewell to the world due to a degenerative lung disease. Talking about the blouse and beret from Parmeshwar Godrej, Sonam said that it was the former's daughter, Tanya Dubash, who lent them the same for the shoot. Sonam, who remains fascinated by beauty and creation, told Vogue:
"Can you believe it? Her daughter, Tanya Dubash, even lent us Parmeshwar Aunty’s signature beret."
Each of Sonam Kapoor's looks made us go like 'WOW'. For example, she slipped into a glossy thigh-high slit dress from Versace. The dress had a deep V-neck, and Sonam finalised her look with a tied-up hair bun and glam makeup. The gorgeous actress donned a Vintage Bundi jacket from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, along with which, she wore Cheney Chan's rose dress, which featured a huge rose motif in the bust area. For her other look, Sonam Kapoor opted for Gaurav Gupta's Archival ghungroo dress in multi-colour. One of her best looks was in a tiered dress from Buerlangma, which she wore with a huge feather headgear from Zhaoyi Yu.
Sonam Kapoor donned Anuradha Vakil's red-hued ensemble for her wedding day. She kept her makeup simple and let her ornaments shine. For the day, Sonam wore her mom's jewellery, and each of the ornaments was designed by Sunita Kapoor. Sonam's makeup artist, Namrata Soni, once told Pinkvilla that the actress was extremely excited about her vintage matha patti, which she wore for her wedding day. The makeup artist revealed that the matha patti was of some Maharani's. Talking more about it, Namrata added that the addition of this headpiece only brought out the best bridal charm in the actress.
