Sonam Kapoor Tries To Hide Her Baby Bump As She Arrives For Karwa Chauth Bash, Refuses To Pose

Sonam Kapoor has been making headlines as murmurs of her second pregnancy has been making headlines. Recently, she was spotted at her parents' Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor's residence for Karwa Chauth celebration. It is worth mentioning that Sonam has, time and again, confirmed that she doesn't keep Karwa Chauth fast but indulges in the celebration, which is a big event at her mother's place.

Sonam Kapoor was seen hiding her baby bump as she got papped at her parents' home

Recently, a video of Sonam has been making the rounds. In the clip, she was dressed up in a red Banarasi saree with heavy jewellery. Traditional makeup and hair tied in a low bun. Sonam was seen sitting in the car, and didn't step out to pose for the camera. However, she didn't miss to wave for the paps, and was seen hiding her tummy with her hands and phone. According to reports, Sonam's team members asked the paps to shut their cameras before she stepped out of the car. 

It is not the first time Sonam has tried avoiding the paps. Earlier, when she arrived for her cousin Anshula Kapoor's engagement, she quickly went inside and did not pose for the cameras. The fashion icon was dressed in a muted golden-toned anarkali with a short jacket. She accessorised her look with statement jewellery and hair tied at the back.

Sonam Kapoor's second pregnancy buzz

It is worth mentioning that Sonam Kapoor's second pregnancy began around September 202. She posted a picture in a white gown and kept her hands on her belly. And styled it with an oversized shrug. Soon, fans wonder if Sonam was trying to conceal her baby bump. Later, Pinkvilla reported that a source close to the actress confirmed Sonam's second pregnancy and shared that she was in her second trimester.

Sonam Kapoor's first cover shoot after birth of her first child 

After three years of juggling her life as a new mom to her adorable son, Vayu, Sonam Kapoor seems to be returning to the entertainment business. The 39-year-old actress is hailed as one of the first fashionistas. She started the culture of dressing to the nines, hiring celebrity stylists and wearing branded clothes for promotional events. In 2025, Sonam did her first magazine shoot after embracing motherhood.

Initially, Sonam's career took time to take flight. Her debut film, Saawariya, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, failed to impress the audience, but Sonam found a footing in the movie world and bagged many more films. Talking about her personal life, she is married to Anand Ahuja. After dating each other, they tied the knot at a grand wedding ceremony in 2018 in Mumbai. The couple had a lavish sangeet and mehendi night, followed by an Anand Karaj ceremony. The celebrations were rounded up with a reception party and a grand after-party. It was the first time Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and many more renowned stars were together dancing their hearts out. It was in 2022 that Sonam and Anand welcomed their first child, Vayu.
