Last year, on February 24, 2018, the world lost one of the most iconic actresses in the history of cinema and Indian's 'first female superstar'- Sridevi. The Hindi film industry, friends, family and millions of her fans mourned for days and it took some time for everyone to accept that Sridevi is gone forever. The times, since then, have been the toughest for Sridevi's family- husband, Boney Kapoor and their two daughters- Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. Now, in a recent interview with ZoomTV, one of Sridevi's nieces and Anil Kapoor's daughter- Sonam Kapoor opened up about her most special memory with Sridevi and her favourite film of the iconic actress. Sonam was quoted as saying, "I think my favourite film of hers is Mr India. And my childhood memory of hers is her living with me in my house for many many years. And her letting me watch Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke on her television in her bedroom. I'll never forget that."
Just like Sonam, many of us have grown up watching Sridevi's films, right? Remembering India's Chandni, Anil Kapoor had earlier said, as per Mumbai Mirror, "She was my brother’s wife and my wife’s friend as they connected really well. Whenever we met there was always fun, laughter and humour. People like Sri ji are difficult to forget. Her body of work is fabulous and inspiring. Her films are still being seen and pictures still being published everywhere. She will always be missed." After the sudden demise of Sridevi, Janhvi Kapoor had written an emotional tribute for her mother, which went like this, “There is a gnawing hollowness in my chest that I know I’ll have to learn how to live with. Even with all this emptiness, I still feel your love. I feel you protecting me from sadness and pain. Every time I close my eyes, I only have good things to remember. I know it’s you doing that. You were a blessing in all our lives, we were blessed to have had you for as long as we did. But you weren’t meant for this world. You were too good, too pure, too full of love. That’s why he took you back. But at least we had you.”

It further stated, “My friends always said I’m perpetually happy, and now I realise it was because of you. Nothing anyone said mattered, no problem was big enough, and no day could ever be dull because I had you. And you loved me. And I didn’t have to rely on anyone or anything because the only person I ever needed was you. You are a part of my soul. My best friend. My reason for everything. Your whole life you kept giving, and all I wanted was to do that for you too, Mumma. I want to make you so proud. Every morning, all that I would do was with the hope that one day you’d be as proud of me as I was of you. But I promise I’ll wake up every day still with that same thought. Because you’re here and I can feel you. You’re in me, Khushi and in Papa. The imprint you’ve left on us is so strong, it might just be enough to keep us going, but never enough to be fully whole. I love you, my everything.”
Sridevi's husband, Boney Kapoor had also commented during a media interaction about his life post-Sridevi's death. The heartbroken husband was quoted as saying, “She was suddenly gone. These past months have been very difficult. Everything went on a freeze-pause in our lives. There were so many things left unsaid and undone. Now I am finally picking up the pieces again trying to put my life together for my children’s sake. There were things that were put on pause. I am trying to resume my life. I am yet to come to terms with the fact that she’s gone forever.” (Don't Miss: 'SOTY 2' Actress, Ananya Panday Wants To Go On A Date With Kartik Aaryan, But Here's The Twist)
