Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal dated for seven long years before getting hitched. They ditched big fat celebrations and opted for an intimate ceremony at the actress’ home in the presence of their family and friends. The couple got married in a civil ceremony on June 23, 2024. Sonakshi and Zaheer confirmed the same by sharing a collaborative post on IG announcing the beginning of a new phase of their relationship.
On July 9, 2024, Sonakshi Sinha shared some intimate moments from their wedding day, just before their reception party. In one picture, Zaheer was seen playfully imitating Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic pose, with his wife leaning on his shoulder. In another, the couple shared a tender gaze, lost in each other’s eyes. The next two pictures captured a personal moment as Sonakshi prepared for the reception, with her husband by her side, sharing a laugh.

In the same post, Sonakshi also revealed one of the highlights of their wedding ceremony. In one of the slides of the carousel, the couple can be seen inside an elevator, listening to something on phone. Sonakshi shared that Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan had sent them his love and best wishes, and the duo was in smiles while listening to them.
Sonakshi also disclosed that she was most definitely the first bride, who got ready before the groom. She also mentioned that she cried after seeing herself for the first time in sindoor. Moreover, as the actress was ready for the reception party, she sneakily caught a glimpse of her groom from afar, who was still in the process of dressing up. Sonakshi further added that the photographers collectively nodded when she asked them if Zaheer was supposed to admire her as she did.

In the last two pictures, the newly married couple was seen taking a walk around their home that they had built together. Sharing the carousel, Sonakshi also penned a lengthy caption mentioning the essence behind all the pictures in her post. She also added that amidst the chaos of a wedding, a couple needs to steal such memorable moments that will stay with them forever.
