Bollywood actress, Sonakshi Sinha recently made headlines for her revelations regarding her personal life, her growing years, and her marriage to Zaheer Iqbal. She is the daughter of veteran actor, Shatrughan Sinha, and made her Bollywood debut with Dabangg. In June 2024, Sonakshi Sinha surprised her fans by announcing her wedding to her longtime partner, Zaheer Iqbal. Recently, the actress opened up about her childhood bond with her twin brothers, Luv and Kussh Sinha.
In a candid chat with Hauterrfly recently, Sonakshi Sinha shared what it was like growing up in the Sinha household along with her twin brothers, Luv and Kussh Sinha. The actress revealed that, as the youngest and most cherished child in the Sinha household, her brothers often felt ‘jealous’ of her. Talking about how she used to get hit by her brothers, Sonakshi shared:
“Main sabse choti, ghar ki ladki toh sabse laadli. Toh bhaiyon ko jalan bhi toh hoti thi. Toh mujhe (maar) padti thi.”
Sonakshi Sinha married her long-term beau, Zaheer Iqbaal on June 23, 2024, in an inter-faith wedding. While the close-knit union was attended and celebrated by the actress’s parents, Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha, her twin brothers were noticeably absent from most of the wedding functions.
While Kussh was spotted at a few ceremonies, it was Luv, who was entirely missing from the celebrations. This led fans to speculate that things might not be well between Sonakshi and her brothers. Responding to the buzz, Luv later posted the reason for his absence on social media. He wrote:
“The reasons are very clear as to why I didn’t attend and would not associate with certain people, no matter what. I’m glad a member of the media did their research instead of relying on creative stories being put out by a PR team.”
In a conversation with Lehren Retro last year, Shatrughan Sinha addressed the speculation surrounding the absence of his sons, Luv and Kussh, from Sonakshi and Zaheer’s wedding festivities. He stated that he had no complaints about their decision, as he understood their perspective and the emotional turmoil they experienced. The actor said:

“I won’t complain. They are only humans. They may still not be so mature. I do understand their pain and confusion. There is always a cultural reaction. Maybe, if I was their age, I might have had a similar reaction to it. But, here is where your maturity, seniority, and experience come in place. Hence, my reaction was not as extreme as my sons.”
Despite the ongoing family drama, Sonakshi and Zaheer have embraced a beautiful married life together. On the professional front, Sonakshi was last seen in Bhansali’s Netflix series, Heeramandi. She is set to appear alongside Paresh Rawal and Arjun Rampal in the thriller, Nikita Roy and the Book of Darkness.
