Sonakshi Sinha is currently having the best time of her life with her husband, Zaheer Iqbal. The duo tied the knot with each other on June 23, 2024, after dating for seven long years. On the professional front, Sonakshi impressed the audience with the biggest hit of her career, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, and won immense appreciation. Now, she is busy promoting her latest horror-comedy film, Kakuda.
In an interview with News18 Showsha, Sonakshi Sinha opened up about her wedding to Zaheer Iqbal for the first time. Talking about the same, she revealed how her special day turned out to be exactly the way she and her husband had envisioned. Sonakshi shared that they wanted their wedding to be an intimate affair and that it should reflect their love for each other. She said:

“Having an intimate wedding was always the plan. That has always been the kind of wedding that we both wanted. Zaheer and I were very clear that our wedding has to reflect the both of us as people, the bond we share, and the love we have for each other.”

Sonakshi and Zaheer's wedding was attended by many popular celebrities, including Salman Khan, Kajol, Rekha, Huma Qureshi, Tabu, Anil Kapoor, and Raveena Tandon, among others. In the same interview, Sonakshi talked about having her friends next to her on her big day and said:
“We wanted to make sure that everybody present there should have a good time. And that’s exactly what happened.”
A few days back, Sushant Divgikr, who also attended Sonakshi's party, hinted that there were several gatecrashers at a celebrity's wedding. Though he didn't drop any names, netizens were sure that he was talking about Sonakshi. Now, Sonakshi, too, confirmed the presence of gatecrashers at the bash and shared that she was too busy having a good time and didn't pay attention to them. In her words:
“There were wedding crashers too here and there but I was too busy having a good time. I’m glad that they also had a good time (laughs). Every wedding be it big or small has people crashing them. Kuch log aa jaate hai khaana khaane and I think that’s okay even though I’ve never crashed a wedding.”

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal had a registry wedding on June 23, 2024, followed by a grand reception. Sonakshi turned into a minimal bride as she opted for a cream-hued chic saree with floral patterns embroidered in thread. She teamed her drape with a simple striped blouse. The bride wore a vintage necklace featuring precious gemstones and pearl drops, matching earrings, and a stack of bangles to complete her look. Subtle makeup, a bindi, and a white roses-adorned bun hairdo added stars to her bridal look.
